Brad Brownell is scheduled to have a press conference tomorrow afternoon, and we anticipate he will announce changes to his staff.

It is routine for Brownell to have season wrap-up press conferences, but recently athletics director Dan Radakovich alluded to changes coming with Brownell's staff.

Our sources have indicated the changes will include longtime Brownell assistant Mike Winiecki, the Tigers' associate head coach. Winiecki has been with Brownell for all of his seven seasons at Clemson and coached under him at Wright State from 2007-10. Winiecki and Brownell were also assistants together at UNC-Wilmington from 1998 to 2002.

Clemson fell short of the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight season in 2016-17 and lost at home to Oakland in the first round of the NIT, finishing with a 17-16 record.

On March 28, Radakovich explained his decision to bring back Brownell by saying his coach has a firm grasp on what has held the Tigers back. The AD said there will be more resources devoted to improving "the attitude and mental part of the student-athletes" while everyone works "to make that communication muscle stronger."

Brownell's press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m.
