On “scientific” travel policy 🤣🤣
Go to around 3:40

basically the policy states that a us citizen or green card can travel to uk and back but h1 visa must go to third world country for two weeks on way back. It’s science man.
Go to around 3:40. Actual journalism. Wow

Obviously the virus can tell the difference between a citizen and an H1 visa. It's science.

I have a handful of Brits working here. They travel back and forth with no issue except they have to have a COVID test 72 hours prior to travel.

Gotta to love the gift of all politicians. They can speak for 10 minutes and say nothing.

Great contribution yankeetiger! Did you even watch the interview?
you should post more abortion threads on west zone. seem like those ones get the best response. gay bashing is yesterday's news. abortion is about to be cool again.

I love that the interviewer will not let him blow it off like they always seem to do
It's refreshing and doesn't happen nearly often enough. Our mainstream news media has become nothing but a propaganda arm for the Democratic party. It is quite literally state-run media, not much different than in China and Russia.

Thanks for posting this. More double talk & side stepping issues by this new “administration”, if we can use that term. I wasn’t aware of the different rules for travel, but the interviewer absolutely made a lot more sense than the ex mayor.

It’s because most Europeans news outlets focus on driving out the facts while American news try to maintain their access.

If you don’t watch Stephen Sacker on BBC HardTalk almost every day, you are missing what journalism still is.

There are a FEW MSM talking heads that are legit. And TBH, I quit watching altogether except when I randomly come across the 3 I list below.

Dana Bash (the best there is)
Tucker Carlson(most times)
Gloria Borger(some times)
John King on the election board.
No one on MSNBC

On the flip side, Maddow and Jake Tapper are the worst.

Honestly one of the best interviews I have seen by a “journalist” in a long time. Sorry it doesn’t fit your agenda, cuengineer
Again, this thread doesn't belong on TWZ. You know that as well.

Put it on the RT where it belongs is my agenda.

Pete's typical government response where nobody is wrong. Blah Blah we don't have that in our tool kit blah blah.

The correct response would have been.

I agree with your concern and I'll take the action to get that corrected immediately.

No, not at all. The correct response would be "I can promise you that I will have my people look into it." There may be a valid reason for the policy that both Pete and this reporter are unaware of. Blindly committing to changing a policy on TV would have been stupid and irresponsible for any leader to do.

Good point on not committing to change policy blindly on tv. Doubt the policy caught buttigieg by surprise. Surely it has come up before. Couldn’t believe it was a real policy.

Sometimes you just need to make a decision. You can always walk it back. He's a politician. I think the point of the reporter was that this was an obvious gap in the system.

Unbelievable to see folks going after Pete's qualifications after your buffoon idiot president appointed basically anyone who supported him to technical positions across the government...

Lololololol.

Lol. State run media. Yessah

I like how people think NPR is run by "The State" just because it has the word Public in its name and there is a little government subsidization involved with the running of the member stations.

Who knows what % of funding the NPR network gets from the Govt? Willing to bet most on here would be surprised to find it's only 12%(direct and indirect) for running the Member stations and <1% for the Operating costs of NPR itself.

You may not like the progressive tilt of some of their content, but calling it State run media does nothing but make you look ignorant.

I suggest drinking a beer and spending some quality time watching old episodes of the NPR Tiny Desk Concert series. Incredible stuff! https://www.npr.org/series/tiny-desk-concerts/

I was talking about npr, cnn, msnbc cbs, nbc, abc as the state run media. Basically all the msm is state run media imo. They are all extremely liberal and push an agenda.
But as far a npr funding, it’s a little cloudier than the npr website suggest. What foundations are those? Acorn? Those colleges and universities, are they private colleges or public colleges?

Tucker Carlson is an absolute joke. He's a cartoon character who is there to entertain the ultra conservative Fox viewers.
