Well, that's an odd, and extremist, take on the reality of the situation. But, that is your perogative. In truth, none of these are State Run media by definition. Outside of NPR, they are all wholly private capitalistic enterprises. You can believe the Federal Govt is pulling the strings and directing their content, but it doesn't make it true. And it definitely makes you sound like a nut job.
Now, if you are not insinuating the Govt is behind the content of these MSM organizations and you are just throwing the term "State Run Media" out there because it sounds good in your head, well that's just weird. And I challenge you to pick any "News" organization that wouldn't be construed as "Pushing an agenda". Even if you like what Fox News and Newsmax are selling - how is that any different than CNN/MSNBC? They all "push an agenda", if that's what you want to call it.
I call it - Capitalism. They are attracting viewers and selling ads. The "News" ceased to be only that when ad revenue began to rule everything. It is what it is. You take the good with the bad when you live in this society. But, it doesn't make any sense to not call a spade a spade.
How much do you think Pete understands about energy, transportation engineering, climate change and economics?
Does he even know how many BTUS are in a lump of coal or gallon of gasoline? No
Does he even know what wavelength carbon dioxide absorbs infrared radiation coming from the surface of the earth? No
Does he even have a clue how much CO2 will be produce to make all the concrete for his infrastructure plan? No
Does he understand economics? No
At least Trump could build a building and at least Trump understood that cutting the corporate tax rate would make America more competitive and at least Trump understood that opening up ANWR for oil drilling would make America more energy independent. At least Trump understood that building a pipeline was the most effective way of transporting oil and allowing oil and refinery companies in the USA and Canada greater flexibility.
I could go on and on about some of the common sense things that Trump understood that highly educated liberal that studied history and literature doesn't understand.
Your point is valid that they are not state funded, but I definitely believe their agenda is to push whatever the liberal talking points tell them to push. If you need evidence of extreme msm bias, I can hook you up. So they indeed function like a state run media. I believe very little I watch on the news. Fox included. The little newsmax that I have watched did seem to be more fact basis but surely they slant it too. I don’t want or need the media to tell me what to think, even though they can back it up by “science”

Actually, his common sense didn't help him in that regard because he didn't have any experience in Washington DC which would have helped him pick his cabinet.
People elected him because he was an outsider. It was like letting a person operate a backhoe without them ever having used a backhoe. Probably not a good example for Trump because he probably can operate a backhoe.
The country has this fantasy that they want a big government to solve all their problems but then they want an outsider to come in and drain the swamp. It doesn't work that way. Trump didn't get rid of many Democrats from the Obama administration. He thought everyone would get along. Biden fired the cook. See. Biden knows. Trump took months to get his Executive orders out. Biden took 30 minutes. Just a couple of examples.
I know that you probably think the federal housing authority is going to save the ghettos. Keep dreaming about that. They are actually the problem. Dr Carson may have or may not have been a good pick but that lady was just trying to show him up by using an unfamiliar acronym.

Let me help you - the term REAL ESTATE owned should be a layup for the Secretary of HOUSING and Urban Development. The fact that he mistook the term for a chocolate cookie is all the evidence you need to understand how inept Trump was at picking his cabinet.
