I agree with what you posted, but this is just the typical knee-jerk, stream-of-consciousness social media reaction that plagues our society today. Just like Pokemon Go and planking, this'll all blow over in a few weeks.

You're right. CA is not only feeding the US, they are helping feed the world
less than 1% of california's products are sold back to citizens who fund california's agriculture industry.
they do feed the world. they dont feed americans much outside themselves.
im assuming the only product americans beyond california's borders would be there wine. but we still got kentucky and tennessee proudly standing up as patriots against the globalist agenda.

i love the idea of replacing those huge agricultural complexes with more local smaller farms with a more diverse product range.

This is actually a really good point. A lot of problems get solved by diversifying our eating habits at home. For example, buying fresh fruits in the winter that had to get transported half-way across the world.
There were actually discussions several years back about splitting Cali into different states.

All of these protests and threats are because the polling and media got it wrong. The rug was pulled out from under people who voted for Hillary on election day, they all thought there was no chance she would lose because that's what we were all being told. Normally one side has time to prepare for the loss but this was so unexpected. Things will calm down soon. Protesting every single little thing you don't like is getting old though. People need to find some hobbies or jobs.

I guess since they are the only States to have been independent nations (CA only briefly as Golden Bear Republic) they have some rights the rest of us don't. I'm pretty sure that the right to secede was prohibited after the Cicil War, albeit by force. It wasn't addressed in law or constitution originally, therefore it should have been legal. But "might" prevailed.

A lot of that is due to Chinese labor and West Coast ports acting as a gateway to sell to the rest of the US fwiw. Include Seattle in that too. People take the impact of ports for granted a lot.

The culture differences between the secular humanist north, who worship at the foot of big government, and the Christian South, have never been more clear.
The language has changed somewhat, but the culture differences that have plagued us from the very beginning have never changed.
Now, the northeastern secular humanists promote their culture of death on the unborn, promote cradle to grave care by their great god of a government, deny the most basic truths of God's creation in the most obvious human sexuality ,and do everything possible to deny God himself.
The South still generally seeks to honor God, to protect life, to promote self reliance and the rle of law.
The world views are irreconcilable.
As it turns out, the South was Right! We should have been free to peacefully separate.

And when they want to come South to enjoy our weather, our beautiful beaches, fantastic football, beautiful women and prosperous culture, we can meet them at the border with a smile and say, "passport please? Y'all come back now, ya hear?"

the idea that the south is christian and the north is secular is misguided and factually incorrect.
red states receive more federal subsidies per capita than blue states.
I do not submit conservative political movements honor god more than liberal movements, although I lean slightly conservative.
