They are shit. I have said it about 100 times now. Biden was shit. I do not defend him. I have not defended him. I am not a political sycophant. If I like his policy I agree with it. If I don’t (most of the time) I disagree with it. I also think most of your draconian takes are hilarious relics from 1776. I laugh at both.

Mostly libertarian shit. There’s some stuff I can’t agree with them on, like social security and help for homeless, but there’d be a lot more qualifications than you don’t want to work. It’s pretty middle of the road shit and what happened was the left went hard left and the right went hard right and left. Some people either got left behind. Some converted to insanity.
The right is less hard right now than it was 30-40yrs ago if you ask me. The center of gravity of the Repub party is more to the center and common sense than it has been quite some time. You don't have all the moral majority stuff, trying to censor records and TV etc. and other assorted craziness.
A lot of the R stuff now is frankly stuff that either wasn't an issue (men in women's locker rooms et. al.), or was common ground witht the other team with minor differences on how and/or how much to spend on it (border/immigration enforcement).
