Caught Covid this Week My Case was Far Less Than Flu

Caught it fir the first time a couple weeks ago. 3 days of headaches and chills. My wife had a more severe reaction and the kids all had lesser variations. No vaccine no nothing, I’m actually glad I didn’t get a jab after experiencing it. Just my experience!

Glad you are recovered well. I lost my 31 year old cousin to COVID. I miss him but I celebrate everyone that defeats the virus. I hope the world rids of the thing this year
Back in February , my wife and i bumped into an old friend that i had not seen in years. His sons and my sons were on the same swim teams. He was meeting his wife in the restaurant for their anniversary dinner. We shook hands , did the patented "man hug", shared a few funny memories. He told me my hair was too long ( which it was) and to come see him for a haircut ( he and his wife had their own salon for many years). My wife read in the OBs a few weeks later that he had passed. We figured it must have been a sudden heart attack. We later learned that he tested positive for covid a couple days after our meeting, was placed in the hospital a couple days later, and remained there for three weeks until he passed. The night he saw us out was the last date night that he and his wife had. He was sixty three but looked forty five. Covid is still out there and sad stories are too. If one gets covid , whether vaxxed or unvaxxed, then i celebrate the survival and hope they dont get down in the bed sick for 10 days like i did when i had it. But a survivor should be thankful for their outcome, rather than acting as if they are the end all, definitive case that applies to the entire pandemic.

On my fifth day since I started filling sick

Getting much better

Coughing way down

Sweating out the infection is about over

Raspy voice and gunk in throat going away

sore thoracic area particularly ribs area probably from coughing

again not as bad as severe cold or severe flu

HOWEVER I can see where if this had gotten worse from a severity standpoint I would have been in for a hell of a time at my 70 YO age

I count myself lucky and my wife at 70 is doing very well as she sis out and doing today as she started the illness 2 days before m

my daughter who had it three weeks ago said expect after effects for a while like being easily tired

but again I am lucky
