I'm only posting this, because I know the question of whether Clemson was pursuing AAU status has been a topic of debate....or perhaps a topic of conflicting information. I believe one poster mentioned that Jim Clements said at an event that Clemson was NOT pursuing AAU status, since we don't have a medical school. I'm sure that poster was being truthful.
Nevertheless, I just read a release from Clemson that talked about the next academic year (budget), facilities, etc. The release directly from the university specifically mentioned the pursuit of AAU status, so there is obviously something to it.
Just interesting, that is all.
