Few thoughts…
1. Listi was a monster get in portal! I would have put him behind Gaffney, who is playing lights out at first!, and behind Paino and Priest. Listi is a gamer! He takes pressure off Cam to hit lead off and feel like our lineup is so much better with Cam hitting with a runner on! Great get in Listi!
2. Surprised a bit we haven’t seen Gillen and Samol at all! Maybe soon. Anyone know anything holding them back?
3. Starters Knaak is just settling in! Stuff is electric! Big, big year coming for this horse! Dardin has better stuff than he gets credit and so happy he’s our steady, Saturday starter! Justin L has looked great but I’m hesitant to crown him just yet. Give me 2-3 more starts and if he hasn’t fallen apart, I’ll jump on that train. Be interesting to see who our midweek starters are. Is Bell ready for that? Will it be Gillen? Shame I think Moehler would have been top candidate here. Hate to see an Allen or Titsworth taken out of their rolls! We’ll see!
4. The bullpen is massive advantage and WOW how great has Allen looked?!? Titsworth, Mahlsted and Garris have been lights out but expected them to be solid if not good. Allen looks unhittable with fastball velocity and life but his slider is just nasty! We’ll hopefully develop some of Bennett, Lee, Cole, Bailey, McGovern, etc. along the way.
This team is gonna be hell this year! So excited and great start! Go Tigers!
