Love our squad this year. We’re good - I believe we’re a tourney team, no doubt. Long way to go as well.
But, there’s always a but. I think the realistic opportunities for tourney seeding is between a high end of a 5 and low end of 11.
Our schedule gives us only a few games to get to the higher seeding. @Pitt, Duke, UNC.
Beat Duke and then we’re going to be locked into a top 6 seed. Lose to Duke, win the others and lose a couple road ACC games then we’re going to be between an 8-11.
Penn St, usf aren’t helping as much as I thought. Boise is good but still was a loss.
Kentucky being a top seed will lock us in, but the Sec is tough and the margin for error is thin.
We need to win our home games (Duke is a toss up - my guess the line today would be Duke -4). And we really can’t lose to inferior teams. We’ll lose a road game or 2 we shouldn’t but that’s normal.
All this to say is the margin for error this year with the ACC and our resume is slim.
Would love to be a 6 seed or 7. 8/9 will be tough but we have the classic senior laden team.
