I would love for those more familiar with the Riley offense to chime in here. Obviously last year was a disaster on offense but that can be attributed to many things. I am less concerned about the results from last year and more interested in hearing about the concepts that make this different....aka DIRT Raid as opposed to Air or Spread.
On offense we seem to use Inside Zone, Counter, Power and Zone Read when we run. When Passing, Air Raid concepts like Stick, Mesh, Verts, Shallow and Y Cross etc. Screen game important.
What make Riley's DIRT raid different? Is it different concept wise or is this just a mentality that we are going to run the ball more than a traditional air raid?
Also are there passing concepts that we run that are not traditional Air Raid concepts?
Thank you!
