Ok, now I know none of this matters in the end but I was confused by the clock running on a couple of occasions Saturday night. Has there been a rule change that the clock doesn't stop when a player is out of bounds? I really noticed it twice in the game.
The first was when we were inside of two minutes before the half and Mafah went out of bounds, the clock kept running. I even went back and rewound the play to see if he was tackled and marked down before getting out of bounds but he was untouched and the clock didn't stop.
This then happened again in the second half, a Clemson player went out of bounds and then the clock kept running.
Was there a rule change I missed? I know they changed the rules for first down clock stoppage except in the last two minutes. But these were obvious out of bounds plays.
