Let me 'splain this for you. People aren't angry that he feels there's racism and oppression in the good ole USA.
People are pissed off because he disrespected one of our most sacred traditions, the country, and the people who did for it.
If he has something to say, let him say it, but stand up and put your hand over your heart for the national anthem. That's how the good people of America roll.
If what one person does in silent protest bothers you that much, I feel you need to reevaluate your life.

They understood while they were fighting for something great, some ungrateful folks would benefit as well. Yeah, many here are just talking but wouldn't die for what they're talking about. If you're so pissed then move to a country where Kap would be beaten, kicked out, or better yet executed for what he did. As for me I get it. We brag about those rights and freedoms but the minute someone uses them everyone goes all emotional basket case. Makes no sense to me. Calm the f*ck down. It ain't that serious. There's currently an entire presidential campaign based on American not being great. What I've learned from this thread is that the guy behind that campaign and all his supporters should leave the country along with Kaepernick.

I am a political moderate which makes me the equivalent of a flaming liberal on this board. With most things I try to look at each side and try and find pragmatism. However, all I can say about this entire thing is this guy is a turd. There is nothing wrong with having strong opinions about race, oppression, etc. and there are ample reasons to feel inflamed on both sides of the race debate. But showing respect for your country should be celebrated by every single person! Too many people died on IWO Jima raising the flag to have that punk show it disrespect.
