Covid-19 Stimulus Bill

lol. you have been railing against socialism non stop on the site. now that your boy trump wants to give hand outs, you are using the classic "stop politicizing this" argument. cop out.

Socialism is bad. Everyone on both sides is proposing handouts. This is an unprecedented economic situation. I’m not sure how to even make sense of your post other than maybe some rona rage outlet.

So now they're saying its $4 trillion and likely still excludes large segments of the middle class. Complete garbage.

Not true. Families making less than $198000 will get a check. An individual making less than $99K will not get a check.
Its tapered down to almost nothing at 198k though. It goes down every $1000 you make. My point to all of it is 198k doesn't make someone ultra rich, particularly if they just took a huge hit on their sales or in a hotel/restaurant. I would think giving everyone a check would help the struggling market. Those that don't need it would likely invest it.

As for the US going bankrupt, have you checked yields on US Treasury bonds?

For the US to go bankrupt would mean that every other country in the world is already bankrupt.

Regular people and investors from around the world are basically throwing money at our debt. The bumpier the ride the better the US looks. The US remains the greatest and SAFEST investment in the world. It's not even close.
People don't understand the system. I hear people often talk about how China wants the U.S. financial system to collapse.... it's like, do you not know how much chinese wealth is in U.S. Treasury stock?

we’ve got the right guy as President to lead a bankruptcy filing.... the one thing he had previous experience in.

Nice. You ever bought a company that was failing that had potential and failed anyway after you bought it? You didn't buy it to fail. Only a GD fool would. If you've never bought a company that was on the edge of failure, I'd hold my tongue. To entrepreneurs that DO take those chances, you sound foolish.

To entrepreneurs that have a history of going bankrupt on failing companies, I would suggest getting a job working for someone with business acumen. Taking a chance or maybe even two, I understand. I don’t understand making bk filing a career unless you are a bankruptcy attorney.

My comments weren’t directed to honest people that have failed, more to the serial Filer that always escapes with minimal personal losses and sometimes gains at the expense of others. It was heart wrenching for the business people that I have known that have filed; they do not talk about bk as a first option to problems.

My point was more Focused on companies created with daddy’s money, milked for management profits, then walked away from leaving unpaid staff and contractors? Rinse and repeat. Most honest people that go BK would do anything to repeat it and make an attempt to honor contracts PRIOR to the filing, the less scrupulous seek to self abrogate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, etc. Our president is a serial filer that always escapes while leaving others in debt. His previous experiences are correlated exactly with what was proposed.

Whatever bro. Your post. Your opinion. LMGDAOAROTF

I mean, I could have bought options on it, I could have shorted it. I could have bought A shares on it and not B shares.

Suck a big one? A simple thank you would be more appropriate. I won't be receiving a check, but I have already paid my taxes in full. So you are welcome. My business will be hurting as well. I will still be paying my employees, despite making significantly less myself. Enjoy spending my hard earned money.

The truth is I have no problem with people getting help when they need it. I never have. I just think it is funny that the people who have always had a problem with it are now lining up to get a handout.

And apparently @scotchtiger suddenly has no problem with it.
Enjoy spending your money? I pay taxes as well so I’ll be spending my money also. Stop being a dick because you have a lot of money. So go **** yourself hows that for a thank you
