"It's a problem all over the country. In my entire career it's been really bad this year. I mean really bad."

"This ain't no hobby for us. You probably need full-time people doing it. It's big moments at this level. I mean, big. You've got some just unexplainable stuff."

Said the head ref last Saturday from the SEC crew approached him before the game and said if linebackers did some certain hand gestures before the snap it was going to be delay of game. Clemson had been teaching its backers to do something different all year, so they had to scramble.

"He's like: 'Well this is how we've called it in our league all year.' But that ain't how we do it. Now all of a sudden you're having to change something. It's kind of frustrating."

He was asked if he submitted the replay reversals from the South Carolina game to the SEC.

"For what?"

"We had plenty of opportunities in that game. but it was disappointing. It was a couple of huge plays.

"I've never really been a part of that, a completion and then review (of the previous play).

"I don't know. That was the SEC so I don't know how they handle their business."

He said they do have some accountability in the ACC. He's had conversations previously with the ACC over some disputed calls and they tell him when they think they got it wrong.

"But there's no public accountability. This ain't no hobby for us."

"Some targeting they don't even review. Some they just make up. It's a national problem for everybody on all sides. It's really been a tough year."
