Went through some tape for a bit...

The front line is good enough to win most games. The second level, though... leaves a lot to be desired. 0 is just not anywhere near the player everyone expected him to be by this point in his career. 17 also looks like he's swimming at times. The secondary has the talent there, but so far it looks like the lack of experience is killing them. Perhaps it's the scheme, but the coverage is so soft most times that it's mind-blowing. App State had quite a few plays there that they fortunately missed on, but against a better team, look out.

This isn't a sky is falling post, by any means. Just pointing out some concerns that could very well turn out to cost them a game that they shouldn't lose. Outside of the D line and 20, there just aren't any play makers at this point. The fact that 0 isn't that dude so far is probably the biggest issue with that unit. It feels a lot like his season when he was playing the wrong position before switching at the end of the year. Hopefully he finds that extra gear and it'll improve the entire unit, but after watching the tape I was left with more concern than optimism.
