We need a reset in expectations. It should be exceptionally difficult and rare to get money from the government. Entitlements need to be cut. People should generally be completely responsible for themselves. This dependence and handout mindset is poison.

Both sides are caught in this. Trump's business background does not show any reason to believe he is the answer. Neither is going to address the deficit problem voluntarily.

For SS and Medicare, delay the benefit age. Life expectancy has risen around 10 years since those were implemented.

I would also add a Medicare surcharge tax on those who fail to meet certain controllable health parameters. People who don’t take care of themselves and end up obese with multiple chronic conditions are a massive strain on Medicare. They should pay their fair share.

Establish universal health care (Medicare for all, whatever you want to call it) and phase out social security and some other entitlement programs. Eliminating health care costs solves a lot of woes for a lot of people and forces the private sector to come up with other benefits to attract employees since they can’t trap you with employer based health insurance anymore.

Start taxing churches that act as political propaganda centers.

Good points. How could you take bias out of the Medicare part and make it objective. I believe pursuit of $$$ by competing hospitals with doctors aligned to corporate hospitals is also a problem. Seems like after COVID there has been a big change in areas like Emergency Rooms etc . Just imho based on some recent experience.
