“Tesla has done nothing to deserve this”
Meanwhile the head of Tesla has bought the presidency and is firing federal workers left and right. A South African immigrant is destroying the country from the inside. Nothing to deserve this? Tell that to the TENS of THOUSANDS of hard-working Americans who for no justifiable reason have been laid off in the past weeks. Tell that to the MILLIONS of Jewish Americans who watched our president’s biggest donor post on social media that Hitler didn’t kill any Jews, just people who worked for him (just weeks after very clearly performing a Sig Heil Nazi salute at a public speaking engagement).
The country has been singlehandedly purchased by an immigrant, thousands upon thousands of Americans are without jobs because of it, unjustified tariffs are destroying relationships with our biggest trading partners, pulling previously agreed upon federal grants for research are resulting in a major blow to scientific and technological innovation that would have otherwise taken place here in the US, and AMERICAN farmers are struggling to pay the bills after federal money that was previously agreed to be dispersed is now being withheld on the whims of a South African immigrant.
So if you’re going to complain about the richest man in the world’s company losing a couple million at most in inventory, at least be reasonable in your whining.
How disconnected from reality do you have to be to even begin to assert that “Tesla has done nothing to deserve this”. In reality, Tesla/Elon Musk have done quite a bit to deserve a whole lot more than they’re currently getting

This is madness but I can't say I'm surprised. The dude is firing our veterans, shutting down federal agencies, gutting Social Security and Medicaid while hoarding multi billion dollar contracts with a chainsaw and a smile on his face. And now that they've fired everyone that can hold them accountable and there's no one that can stop them, vigilante justice is all that anyone has to fight back. To be clear, I don't condone this and the perpetrators need to be punished to the full extent of the law....but I do understand it.

I simply cannot fathom that any citizen would be upset with one of the cuts that Musk is making from our wasteful government unless they simply are directly benefiting from the wasteful spending. Our government needs to shrink (substantially) and the reckless and unjustifiable spending on complete and utter nonsense of hard working US taxpayers needs a hard stop and reset.
Every headline I read of the crap Musk is uncovering and cutting I agree with. And I believe most of the country does as well. Maybe that will change but I have yet to read one.

Peaceful protest is a part of American history, hell non peaceful protests are at the foundation of this country, but that doesnt excuse violence as being acceptable at anytime other than self defense. Emotional reactivity. The extremes of the left and right have way more in common with each other than have any relevance to the lives of us who just want the government to do its job and stay out of our lives. There is a clear disconnect on what role the the government should have between the extremes but i think there a lot of common ground for the 70% or so who occupy the middle. I believe there is a role for the federal government in education but no child left behind isnt it for example. Theres a fundamental role of the government in scientific research but because COVID seems to have broken the minds of many on the right they have become profoundly anti science so they applaud the appointment of someone like RFKjr who doesn’t even understand what Riboflavin is. I could go on and on about how the Trump/Musk approach will do way more long term harm than good but this diseased teams based mindset has effected people’s critical thinking profoundly.
