DOGE is not an official dept. and Elon nor his 6 college nerds are Senate confirmed and have no business rooting around in the financial information for all Americans. This is obscene corruption that no one can stop because they've fired all the gatekeepers and hollowed out law enforcement agencies as well. This is a hostile takeover of our government that Republicans are afraid to speak out against. Unbelievable this is happening so blatantly with little backlash and I don't see how this shit stops without an uprising that will surely lead to violence.

If you want to know my guess.
Because when Vivek and Elon first started working on DOGE they had different ideas on how to go about it. Vivek essentially wanted to challenge the status quo through the courts. He thought he could take it to the USSC and win because the court has a conservative tilt.
Elon had a different idea. Elong wanted to make cuts and accountability systems within the current framework.
It appears as if Elon won and that is the route they are taking.

I'm talking about the normal Republicans in Congress who know this is an abomination, not hard-core magats like you who want to burn everything to the ground in order to own the libs and extinguish everything that might hold Trump accountable.
