If I was a republican, I would re-evaluate my affiliation with a party that could so easily succumb to such an obvious demagogue. It's a weak-minded, racist party.

I did read what you said. It is in bold above- and that part is simply ridiculous. As I said, Trump is one of the most disrespectful people on the planet. I have no problem with you giving your opinion.
As for Trump "putting it all on the line to do this", what does that even mean? What is he doing that any other candidate is not doing?
With the exception of spending $$$ like a drunken sailor, I too support the majority of trumps policy positions. However, he would not be my first choice for two reasons. First, he is a shitty human being. Second polling, indicates Haley has a much better chance of beating Biden than trump. She polls much better against biden in the swing states we have to win to keep biden out of office- which is my primary objective. This is further backed up by the fact that candidates he backed in major elections in those states lost almost every important election since he was potus.
I know polls were wrong when he won against hrc, but that was mostly due to him being unknown in the political world(not as a person) before his first election. He is a known commodity now, which greatly enhances the accuracy of the polling data. While he does lead biden in several polls, he does not break the 50% threshold in any of those polls like haley does. This indicates a large number of people who are undecided. That is not the case with haley, who is at, or much closer to, a majority in all the swing states.
Let's concede your notion that trump(like all other potus before him) will try and surround himself with people that will do whatever he says.
As for bringing in the military during protests, I actually have no problem with this in certain situations. When you have a mass of citizens too large for local police to control who are causing millions of dollars worth of damages and killing innocent people, taking over portions of cities with people armed with assault rifles and blockades for weeks at a time, I am for doing something to stop that.
Give me an example of "something terrible" you think he going to do? He has limited power in what he can do despite what he may want to do. He would need the cooperation of congress or the courts to do almost anything you can come up with. Again, he has been potus, and none of the things you claim he would do happened or are possible.
I know you like to just make up your own facts based on your personal feelings and ideals and what you think the situation or facts are, but that is simply not reality.
Statistics about wages, employment, etc are verifiable. Those are not opinions, they are verifiable facts. You agreeing or not agreeing with them has zero impact. You can disagree today is Monday if you want to, but that does not change the fact today is Monday.

Not the airborne, but the military, yes. I have repeatedly said I would have shot the first person who tried to breach the Capitol. I don't have views on how to treat people based on what pollical party they belong to.
Funny how unless you are MAGA, MAGAs think you're a liberal, socialist, communist, antifa, atheist enemy of 'the people." Most of the people I know who hate him are lifelong conservative Republicans, because that's most of the people I know. They want him gone so they can go back to practicing their politics.
It's nothing more than an the "us versus them" worldview that marks all fascist movements. If you don't love Trump, you automatically must fall into one of the hated demographics. It's a limited, circular method of reasoning that most of them aren't capable of rising above.
