I dont believe that mass covid vaccinations are currently necessary although CDC recommends them. I thought brett meir said six million illegals. trump is the one who gives those high numbers but it is wise not to believe him when he states numbers on anything. And beleive it or not, the word amongst my PA and doctor buddies is that Mexicans like to get vaccinations since many of them have not been previously afforded that level of care in their upbringing.

More of a parental consent issue than a covid issue. Doesnt mean they will win the case or that the case has been decided. The parents just survived a preliminary motion to dismiss, i bet. The key though is nominal and Minimal damages i bet. No one going to get much money out of that. What happened? did the kid have a rough day as a reaction? no real damages there. or did his pecker fall off as a result of the vaccination? now that might would be a case, although still a longshot, since vaccine comanies and providers enjoy a wide scope of immunity and limited liability payments by federal statute. Otherwise, i dont see any real relevance.
There’s no way you’re a parent. That’s egregious, to subject a child to any type of medical procedure without consent of parent is crazy unless it’s life saving. That is terrible and who cares about the money, the fact you’re attempting to justify that is crazy.

you brought up a lawsuit. I discussed a lawsuit. The suit will be against the school, which is a state agency. There are no punitive damages for egregious conduct against a state agency. No money in it, so what is the point of the civil suit. I would bet that the lawyer is an anti vaxxer nut and just wants to make a point, but if i was defense counsel for the school, iwouldnt offer much money to settle the case. I was simply trying to gauge if you agreed that was overstepping by an authority. That’s too far. I don’t care about the lawsuit. As a human and American that disgusts me, someone thinking they should subject a child to anything without consent is wrong.
I am indeed a father. My children were born in the early 2000’s, vaccinated, minor issues with one series. My son had a febrile seizure but I would not be being honest if I said I knew unequivocally that a vaccine caused it. That would be inaccurate. However the thing I think about now is the fact that my children are hopefully going to be having children of their own in the next decade. And I want to steer them and guide them to do the right thing. If I’m being honest, I would tell them to not to do the full vaccine schedule now. It’s just too much and there’s not enough evidence to not rule out the increase in vaccines causing some of the developmental issues we are seeing rise. There is 100% a place for vaccines, I believe that a lot of them are some of the most life altering, in a positive way, inventions in the history of the world truly. But there’s just no denying something is going on that is above my understanding. But I do understand correlation and causation, so I guess my answer is it’s nuanced. If I had children today I would want them vaccinated against some things and would waive others. Again, in full transparency, I have no idea what all they are giving now because I have no skin in the game. But I know they’ve increased drastically the amount and frequency over the last couple decades.
Of course…always another reason other than the lack of a vaccination. The pneumonia developed from the measles.

This kind of thing should never, ever have happened in the first place. EVER! Where my child goes to school (middle school) the school nurse can't even give them an aspirin without our approval.

My wife got the clot shot of her own volition. I got mine under duress. I told her in no uncertain terms that my child under the age of 18 would not get it until she reached the age of consent.
There were posters defending this nonsense. Our children’s school is the same. Can’t even give them Tylenol without parental consent or a waiver given to the school nurse. These are children and should be protected at all costs, justifying that behavior is hard to understand.
