The latest on DJU from The Osceola today, for those keeping up with his progress to this point.
Uiagalelei is well on his way. His last few practices have shown his progress. It’s a two-way street as he will make the receivers better but in time they will make him look good, too. Uiagalelei can make all of the throws and, yes, take some shots deep.
His completion percentage could suffer some because of that, but this is the aspect of FSU’s offense we’ve been curious about seeing for years. The Seminoles have the speedy receivers to stretch the field, too.
Uiagalelei’s ability to run has also been on display, finding rushing lanes and taking off. The reality is we may not know how good Uiagalelei is within FSU’s offense until well past the spring game, not until Aug. 24 in Ireland. But we’ve seen enough to be encouraged for what’s to come in five months.
