Does "transitory"

Wow, using ABC news as a source. I guess that's one step better than MSNBC. It's still akin to Pravda. The real simpletons are you dem morons that think printing money has zero impact on the economy. Kind of like the student loan forgiveness BS you peddle. He let's make all American's pay for someone else's college tuition. What's the term for a system were the community redistributes everyone's wealth? Oh yeah, socialism.

How's that Build Back American program going anyway?
i don't watch ABC. not interested in mainstream media.

I don't have time to lay waste to you right now but I didn't say I WOULDN'T have voted for him - I said I wish we had better choices. You said we'd all be gone in a month under the assumption that we'd be too embarrassed. My point was he had already done some embarrassing things but we're still here.....because what he does doesn't reflect on us....and we don't worship him. Your Trump big print means nothing when you compare his negatives. We were in the sewer with that sociopath.
Hmmm okay. Did you type that in your best Jen Psaki response format?
So you did vote for him but wish you'd had better choices...Noted.

So anything Biden does that may be embarrassing is not attached to you or doesn't reflect on you (or "us" as you say).
WOW...so a president you voted for (albeit you have a convenient excuse for) and boast of his numerous accomplishments, is a president you only accept when he does great and noble things, but not when he embarrasses you. Noted.
"Don't Blame Me!" This sounds exactly what's bringing this country down. and boy you fall right into that category!

I have never said that I worshiped Trump and a lot of republicans I know and are around do not particularly like the man. I for one did not vote for the man, but I also would not have picked CDS either, so my leader choices could be in question here:)

America was in the the sewer with Trump, you say, but I beg to differ. Look around you. I don't know where you live, but can you really stand there and tell yourself that America is better than it was 3 years ago? It wasn't perfect and it needed some help, but for God's sake dude, open your eyes!

When there is ONLY ONE CHOICE, it is what it is but to pretend like he's done nothing because he fvcked up a couple things is disingenuous. Unlike you, I will criticize the person I voted for but I will also give him credit when it's due. He's done a hell of a lot more than I expected but you wouldn't know it by watching Treason TV.

As far as your last paragraph goes, I'm willing to bet if you were hooked up to a polygraph test that would kill you if you lied, your answer wouldn't be Biden for the things that you call bad right now. Guaranteed you'd all of a sudden know the correct reason. But please keep parroting the seditious assholes you listen to that know they have to destroy the man in hopes of winning the office back. Because when your policies are so unpopular that you can't win, you've got to find an angle to make people hate the better candidate. Your media has gone full poison propaganda in that regard and you just lap that sh*t up.

Dude..tell me what "hell of a lot more" Biden has done. I'll give you one. I was in favor of the infrastructure bill actually. Not ALL that was inside of it, but I happen to be in that line of work and I know it was desperately needed. That's all I got.

The things I call bad right now, where not as bad 3 years ago. So hook me up to your death machine!

"But please keep parroting the seditious assholes you listen to that know they have to destroy the man in hopes of winning the office back" WOW, this sounds like your talking about what the MSM did to our last president. You can't have it both ways my friend!

This admirations policies are not popular because NO ONE wants them!! Hence your presidents and VP's low approval ass ratings! WAKE UP!

Are we really going round in circles again? 😅 I provided you a full list which you ignored because it was in small print! LMAO Infrastructure was huge but so was the American Rescue Plan. The rest is there for you too.

I laughed! but it's "were"

"WOW, this sounds like your talking about what the MSM did to our last president. You can't have it both ways my friend!" It's "you're" but there is a difference between saying what's true that you don't want to hear and just brazenly pulling sh*t out of your ass to slander someone. Crap, after what we know now, the MSM was right all along and he turned out to be even worse than anyone imagined!

"his admirations policies are not popular because NO ONE wants them!! Hence your presidents and VP's low approval ass ratings! WAKE UP!" His approval ratings are not about his policies, which polls show are overwhelmingly popular and more about the perception of his competence. But put him up against Insane Tang again and I would bet my house Biden would win again. Just because Biden doesn't high approval marks doesn't mean people want Shitler back...

And it's his "administration's" 😅

Ok brocephus tell us your Outlook on the world in detail to included what your go to news sources are.
haha, you don't know me at all. you assume i'm liberal because i like to fvck with you and i dont agree with trump or the wild righties. i also hate the wild lefties.

as it relates to what you posted about, i think free college is dumb. makes absolutely 0 sense. no loan debt should be forgiven in any way or for any amount. the rates on the loans can be adjusted sure, if there are predatory situations, or potentially cap the rate to make it more reasonable. In general if you agreed to something you're on the hook for it. if it's hard to pay for it, tough shit. maybe a history degree was a bad choice.

Thanks for the spelling lesson, my mother was a teacher and she always said I sucked at grammar. It's a fault and I accept it, but it's the internet. No on spells correctly here and it's good to see you use that to deflect your unintelligent remarks.
You are so brainwashed that you cannot admit anything you say is just plain out WRONG.
It's okay, it takes time to grow up, mature and admit you're wrong sometimes.
I won't hash back over all the political things that I have pointed out to you in as simple of terms as you can understand.
I knew before, but I for sure know now that you will die with you beliefs even though the right answers stare you in the face. It's how society is these days.
You are a mockery of yourself, but people learn over time and maybe one day you will to.

Glad you finally had time to step up your game and lay waste to me like you said you would.

"His approval ratings are not about his policies..."

I'm at the airport so don't have time for your nonsense but I gotta say...you don't know the difference between where and were and you really want us to think you're smarter than a 5th grader?

That's it? That's your reply?

You are not at an airport, you doof?
I am actually sitting on my boat in the Matecumbie Bright watching the sunset.
I'll take my education anytime!

Didn't I just ask you to tell us? LOL!! You and I could reach an agreement on student loan issue. Please give us some more wisdom.

mean prices will return to what they were pre pandemic. My family is getting hammered on food costs. Glad we don't rent. Sister's rent just went up $250/mo
We just had another .6% "transitory inflation hit us from Dec to Jan. 7.5% over the past year. But hey, it's temporary right?

Interest rates have been kept low to prop up the market. Trump threw a tantrum at the idea of raising them. The Fed has since injected too much money into the economy to again try to prop things up, thanks in part to Biden. Chickens are coming home to roost.

So you first have to admit that Powell and the fed governors are way smarter than you and I. Second, you have to understand that one of the biggest mistakes the fed could make when hitting a period of increased inflation is to use verbiage that could cause more people to go out and spend more money today because they know how much more expensive that purchase will be later.

That’s why these guys make the big bucks…..they actually understand how things work and the effect and power their choice of words have. To put in in WEZ terms, they are playing chess while you and I only see checkers.

As far as what the future holds, most independent economists seem to think that this spike is still transitory and will fall back down to higher than average (3+%) for the next few years. Demand will still exceed supply as our economy continues to boom and there simply aren’t enough bodies to do the job. Our country depended on immigration to fill this gap in the past, but this, and the fact that millenials and gen x-ers are having children much later in life, is just one of the unintended consequences of the past administrations immigration policies.

I'll agree with this. But you have to agree that both you and I have insight something that Powell and the Fed governors don't have to deal with: balancing a checkbook. When's the last time these elitist went into a grocery store? Have they seen the empty shelves? Have the seen the price of chicken double? Let's not even discuss beef prices.

Wholesale prices on consumer goods are up 9.7% from January 2021 to January 2022. That's a 10% "tax" on all working Americans. I'm willing to bet most haven't seen their income increased by 10% in the last year.

There are a number of factors causing inflation right now. COVID, not so much the virus but the lockdown response and subsequent stimulus, is at the heart of most of the reasons. The economy is out of balance right now. There's no one thing that will fix it. However, ending COVID mandates BS is a big step in the right direction. Every scholarly article (I don't give to craps what the Fed says) says it will be a couple of years before things settle down.

Just because they are highly successful and highly intelligent doesn't mean they can't see everything that is going on....I'd argue they are even more keenly aware of the supply chain issues than you and I are walking into walmart shopping for bacon.

To say that Covid is not playing a part in supply chain issues is approaching losing grip on reality all together. People all around the world are getting sick in huge numbers....most places don't have the access to quality vaccinations or healthcare as we do here, so it would be safe to assume it has hit some areas even harder than here. People not being able to go to work does not help anyone produce more. Factories having to shut down because they simply don't have enough people to work a shift causes supply problems.....and no one mandates that shut down.

I absolutely agree that there are a number of factors causing inflation. But you can't pick and choose. No offense intended, but it seems like a lot of folks just want to play the blame game based completely on political party affiliation. Acknowledging some challenges while ignoring others is simply choosing to be ignorant.

GAS!! Thats a huge part of it no matter what. All companies are passing on the increased cost of gas on to the consumer.

Thought this was interesting to include in this conversation. Sales/demand showing a (inflation adjusted) spike way above trend. Combined with supply chain issues is a recipe for disaster.

Looks like Biden's policies have hit the UK just as hard. Like America, their inflation spikes started before Biden took office, but obviously it his policies causing it all!

When inflation and gas prices start to drop again, will that be because of Biden's policies? Or will you go back to saying it was COVID then.

Do prices ever return to what they were pre-anything? No, we're just one step closer to the wealthy boxing the non wealthy out of everything. Then there will be a hard reset. History is replete with examples of the wealthy having to learn the hard way. The hardest way.

How do you define wealthy?
