Starting to become very uneasy about the number of Executive Orders being signed. Many of these orders could get passed via regular legislation without the need of using EA. If it is something that were to get completely bogged down in Congress, different story. A new playbook is being written. If somehow a far left candidate ever gets into office, can you imagine the damage that could be done if this new precedent is followed?

Not a new precedent … this has been business as usual since 2008. Remember “I’ve got a pen and I phone” … ???

Do I like it? No. Do I agree with all of it? No … but to suggest what Trump is doing is “new”???? That’s just silly.

Here are the total number of executive orders by term. At the current rate Trump will crush his previous 4-year term total. Hardly silly...

No it’s silly … it was ridiculous when George H did it, when Clinton did, Obama, Biden and Trump. Bitching about the volume of EOs is just semantics. Unless you had the same concerns under the last 5 administrations, spare us your silliness.
It feels like he's saying it continues to escalate and is getting unsustainable overall.

Executive orders are a way to circumvent Congress which in a way under cuts the democratic process or at the very least speed up an agenda or even impose an administrations will. Regardless of party, the process should not be abused. I used the word, precedent, which you chose to argue. Anytime a new high water mark is achieved, precedence has been reset. We are on our way to blow past the all time record of a full term president within just the first several months. It doesn't matter whether you support this administration or not, this is a problem. I align mostly with the current policy but I don't necessarily agree with how we are getting there because paybacks can be a bitch. Never let the facts get in the way of a good story or in your case, argument. Talk about hypocrisy...

"can you imagine the damage that could be done if this new precedent is followed?"

You think this is something new that is just happening now, and has never happened before. This stuff has been going on for decades.
