Rumors flying in town today that Bruce Irvin will be traded to Atlanta along with a 3rd or 4th round pick or two (the Hawks have 11 picks this year) for the Falcons' first round pick.
This makes sense in a lot of ways-
- Dan Quinn absolutely loves Irvin and he gives you the edge rusher the Falcons have been looking for
- The Hawks have already said they aren't going to pick up the option which means you risk losing him for nothing
- Seattle has 11 picks in this year's draft which gives them some to play with
- Schneider has already said they only see 15 guys worth 1st round picks in the draft
- Seattle desperately needs OL help and are unlikely to get it at 63 or later.
Its just a rumor so take it for what it's worth but it makes a lot of sense.
