The market nearly made it back to break even today and the actual great cut has not gone into effect.
I thought that the Kavanaugh hearings and that sham impeachment where the lowest the Democrats are willing to go, but it appears openly cheering for a international pandemic that kills Millions, so long as it also takes out Donald Trump, is not off the table?

I made a small fortune off a long position in TVIX this week. Got stuck in it $52 last time the market went semi-sideways and got out when it hit $125 this morning.

Not saying there’s anyone in here that are cheering for that. However I do know quite a few people that are openly rooting for an economic collapse b/c of the virus strictly for political reasons. Those people do exist and it’s not an isolated sentiment. It’s very sad.

Good thing is the fed can go into negative rates. Punishing savers is obviously the solution. -1% don’t work? Let’s try -10%, that doesn’t fuel it enough let’s go with -50% federal interest rates.

Apples and oranges, my friend! Tax cuts and deregulation equals strong financial market growth, increased domestic manufacturing, more jobs, higher wages, more disposable income and greater spending. World wide virus fears and a virtual shut down of manufacturing and exporting from China, our largest supplier of our imported products, equals a market crash. Not a huge Trump fan with respect to his personality but his economic policies definitely contributed significantly to the record growth before the coronavirus downturn.

Good news is that new cases in China are significantly dropping and we are moving towards spring (sunny and 85 in Southern California today).
I expect this to be gone in a month and the market recovered. Bought in today near the bottom.
I also refinanced my mortgage today.
I added this later but our semiconductor manufacturing sites in China are improving their working headcount. We are seeing 80% of the people in China getting back to work. Still not good but definitely improved.

I literally had a very prominent trial lawyer and Democrat donor tell this week that he would consider “taking out the President” if he found out tomorrow that he has a terminal illness.
