Fed Powell speech of 50 basis point cut does nothing

I literally had a very prominent trial lawyer and Democrat donor tell this week that he would consider “taking out the President” if he found out tomorrow that he has a terminal illness.

There was one other lawyer in the room when he said it (who happens to also be a Democrat), and even he was like “let’s not say that out loud again.”

Nothing in this post has actually ever happened.

You have the keyboard commando act down cold.

Every single word of my post is true.

When people view the President as an existential threat to mankind, then they perceive anything they to do oppose him a justified. Pretty basic human psychology.

Apples and oranges, my friend! Tax cuts and deregulation equals strong financial market growth, increased domestic manufacturing, more jobs, higher wages, more disposable income and greater spending. World wide virus fears and a virtual shut down of manufacturing and exporting from China, our largest supplier of our imported products, equals a market crash. Not a huge Trump fan with respect to his personality but his economic policies definitely contributed significantly to the record growth before the coronavirus downturn.
And how does deficit spending and tariffs help the economy during a boom? All economic thought on this has been to reign in budgets during the boom, have rates reset to market levels, and build a buffer for an economic downturn.

you can like this economy because “tax cuts” but it doesn’t change you support a liberal economic outlook...

Just admit republicans are now farther left when it comes to monetary policy than more rate democrats. Even Obama started reigning in his budgets after recover... trump, not so much.

Not at all. If you stood in front of me and made your asinine comment about how democrats want millions to die I would happily say everything I am saying right to your face.

And you should be careful extrapolating the beliefs of half of the country based on your (fictional) conversation with one person. For example, just google "republican caught gay" and see the multitude of stories that pop up about your people secretly having gay sex all the time. I could easily read those and then just say "all MAGA people enjoy having cock in their mouth". Would that be fair?

It was not a fictional conversation. The other lawyer in the room, who is a true gentleman (and a Democrat) nearly hit the floor.

I mean, there are millions of people willing to dress up like female genitals and March through the streets of America to protest this guy, and yet you find it impossible to believe that one deeply partisan Democrat who I only happen to know because of my line of work would say something like that?

You seem like the fool here.

I agree with you that tariffs do not help the economy in the short term. However, if they force countries like China to the negotiation table and result in a more equitable balance of trade differential in our favor, they can help the U. S. economy dramatically long term. As to budget deficits, I don't like them either. However, until both parties bite the bullet and reduce government spending, they will continue to grow, just as they have with both Democrats and more recently Republicans in the White House.

That doesn’t explain when republicans controlled everything and they increased the deficits. Fox News the other day was explaining how deficits don’t matter anymore...

seems like I get the option for voting for far left or slightly less far left. Both being left..,.
