Feel bad for kids in this situation

They did? There’s about 3 dozen states with a higher number of deaths per 100,000, including South Carolina.

Not saying they’re doing everything right in CA but to say all other states were able to be open responsibly is just not correct.
Yeah was definitely talking about having football, not handling covid.

ALL others states?

Yeah just talking about having high school football, not states’ response to the pandemic in general.

The party of personal responsibility is in shambles and eager to blame external forces when the first thing goes wrong. Embarrassing.

Both parties leave a lot to be desired if you ask me. Wish the wackos on the left would congregate somewhere, the wackos on the right congregate somewhere else, and let the majority of folks work together. But that’s a different discussion.

Ding ding ding ding
You sir are the winner
Anybody that took a liking to what the kid said has further let me know that some of you have no idea about the recruiting process. If the kid was any good in the previous years, there are ample opportunities to play college football. We're talking D1 on down. He could start low and work his way up the way the portal is set up.
He ain't telling the whole story.
My only rebuttal is my youngest brother waited his turn all 3 years behind a guy that went D-1 last year. This year was his senior year and first year of starting. He took full advantage and had a heck of year and yesterday signed a scholarship to play football in college. That would’ve never happened if his football season had been cancelled.

Lots of guys he knows in SC are in this same boat. The coaches would’ve never known about my brother before this year.

not trying to start a political fight, but stuff like this tears me up. Hopefully the kid can find somewhere to play. Underneath it, he says he isn’t looking for a hand out, but he will gray shirt, redshirt, whatever. Just wants a chance.
I’m sure this will end up in the Round Table.

Navarro is a 6'1" (claims), 216 lb defensive end prospect. Zero stars in Rivals' database.

Why aren't you all asking about what he did to overcome this? It wasn't targeted at him, or football players, so did he suck it up and do what he needed to do?

Like: training. Filming and sending content around. Calling coaches and making a name for himself. Hustling?

This kid is entitled to a high school football season?

Or no?

You’re kind of proving this kid’s point and I don’t think you realize that. Congrats on the kids playing college ball though. Heck of an accomplishment. Doesn’t make you an expert, though.
No expert, thanks & don’t agree I proved his point! Still don’t understand his blaming others or Corvid!

Can we not just feel sorry for this kid and all the others in his shoes for having to deal with this crappy situation? No camps/showcases during off-season before senior year. No senior season. No travel ball. Who’s to say he wouldn’t have gotten a look from somebody somewhere? There are plenty of guys who start popping up later in their high school careers.

Frustrated 18 year old kid speaking his mind on social media. Can’t expect him to have it all figured out. C’mon man
Nope do not feel sorry, I emphatize. But Believe If this young man was good enough, someone maybe even NAIA would offer him! Please walk on, send video, speak with your coaches but to blame Corvid or Any Govenor, Nope!

Once again, it’s not about this kid in particular. This was just something I saw on Twitter.
I hate to see kids missing out on the chance to show what they have. I guarantee there are kids who won’t get the chance to play at the next level, because they didn’t get to play this year.
I totally understand, but for this senior class of student athletes a majority of the looks in front of college coaches for any sports were completed prior to this season. The ones this pandemic really affects are current sophomores & freshmans, especially basketball & baseball players. The senior class of football players if videos & camps were not done 2 or 3 years ago, my question is why not?

Or he could have qualified for admission academically, walked on and earned a scholarship.

They’re still a bunch of douches for not letting the kids play ball.
