I'm new to fly fishing! Not even new yet, as I haven't even tried it! It's something I've wanted to get into for a while! I love fishing in general! I recently talked with a fly fishing pro and guide! He set me up with a beginners rod and reel package and has offered some guidance through video chat! He also mentioned hooking up with some guides in my area! I live in the Charlotte, NC area. Of course I'd be fishing the western part of North Carolina and South Carolina! He did mention finding some classes for me in my area to start, but that a guide would be my best bet to catch fish and learn at the same time! Would that be the best first step? I don't want to get frustrated trying to learn on my own, but I don't want to feel lost on a guided tour! Just curious if there are some ideas or thoughts that would help me with the learning process of casting in general?
