The actions against Milley will not have a negative impact on readiness. Nor does it take up much if any of the SECDEFs bandwidth. It's being handled by the staff. Secdef gets updates. Decision was made to refer now it's just an administrative action (high profile!) that will move along until it gets back to the secdef for a decision.

I have zero issues with actions towards milley. Good for the military rank and file to see that even the most senior offices can be held accountable for actions.

My opinion only as a retired officer who worked a lot of jobs to include time on staff at the pentagon. (The corridor outside the secdef's office is really cool.. and so is his actual office which i got allowed in for a look see by the nice office manager who i chatted up when delivering some random paperwork) edit: fixed typo

Herp derp, you have no such sources and you heard no such thing but please explain to me how de-escalating tensions with China two weeks before Trump left office endangered world peace 😂 🤣😂. That doesn't make a lick of sense.

Milley KNEW that Trump was not going to launch a nuclear weapon and hence that was what he conveyed on one of his regularly scheduled calls with the Chinese, under the direction of Mark Esper. What could possibly be wrong with that? Reminder that Milley was trusted, Trump was not.

Milley helped carry out the assasination of Soleimani and everyone knows Iran wants revenge against those in the plot so now he is a prime target. Biden didn't like John Bolton but he didn't pull his protection detail because he's a decent man who understood that his life would also be in danger from Iran - this type of decision should not be political but Trump is a strictly transactional figure who has no decency and is unconcerned about right and wrong. But now the message is clear - if you cross him, your life is in danger.

They were highly competent but most of all, they were honorable people who wanted what's best for all Americans and were loyal to the Constitution.

Many of Trump's picks are not honorable and many are down right dangerous, picked for their loyalty to him and his thirst for Retribution, not the Constitution.

Did you notice that Hegseth's very first act upon being sworn in was to open an investigation into Mark Milley( a decorated four-star general) plus taking away his security clearance and protection detail?

Does that sound like someone who prioritizes military readiness to you or someone more interested in following Trump's orders for revenge?

I'm not going to respond to your "opinion" in the first two sentences which are not based on any facts. I understand the action that Hegseth took and more will come out on that in the future and then we can debate the results. What you have done above is accuse all the Trump supporters of exactly what Biden did to Trump. The difference is all of Biden's cronies have been pardoned for things for which they haven't even been charged. Do you honestly believe that Biden wasn't on a witch hunt against Trump and the liberal court took action and a very heightened rate that was not normal for the court? Did you believe that Biden was telling the truth on the multiple occasions that he said he would not pardon his son? Do you believe Hunter's laptop was bogus and didn't exist? Do you believe that Hunter was lying on the multiple occasions when he made comments of his Dad's presence when talking with his "business associates"? Do you believe that Biden was telling the truth when he said repeatedly that he had never discussed with his son, Hunter, any of his business dealings? Etc., etc.,etc.!
