The shooter had to have help to get where he was, plus let get a shot off. Why in the world did the SS Snipers wait to fire until after the shooter. Makes no sense and cost a person their life and almost allowed the former President to be killed.
I have friends with connections to Mace and I'm sure others on here do as well.

How is she more of an embarrassment than all other elected officials?
The question you have to ask is how in the heck the kid was able to get into position on that roof so close to the former President? There is no way I will ever believe he didn't have help. Where the help came from is anybody's guess, but it would have taken a high level military trained sniper, Navy Seal/Green Barrette, to have any chance at all to get into that position without being shot. This kid was being pointed out by the crowd, but allowed to get off several rounds before the snipers on site returned fire. Seems a little questionable to me. Heads should roll in the SS over this.
If he had help, he wouldn’t have needed to go fly a drone around to scope the place out. They would have given him the info.
Matching a casing to a gun is as good as matching a fingerprint to a person. No way they can fake it. They also have no clue how much video is truly out there...video for which they can count distinct muzzle reports or muzzle flashes. If the crime scene is manipulated, evidence tampered with or fake evidence introduced, somebody outside of their control is going to know about it and blow the lid off. There's just too many variables beyond the control of a group of conspirators.
I don't think you see very many people talking about it because it was all already otherwise clearly established--as you more or less allude to.
Ultimately, this is just going to come down to spiteful and perhaps even malicious incompetence.

I'm talking also beyond politics and on a personal level of who she is. There's a lot of Charleston people on here and maybe they actually have something positive to say about any interactions with her.
Maybe AOC is also hated by people around her as much as the people around Mace hate her. Maybe the same way people around Kamala hate her.
From what little I saw of the hearing today, AOC at least was professional in that setting while still going after this terrible leader of the secret service, regardless of my thoughts on AOC as a whole.
I know practically her whole staff dumped her. Possible that she ticked them all off, also possible that an underling got a little ambitious and wants to usurp her. Also possible that its somewhere in between. That whole first congressional district is a bit weird and dysfunctional, if you ask me, no matter who's representing it.
Mace is certainly not your prototypical conservative Republican--if there even is one; but it's a swing district, so that's probably the best that the Republican party can get.

These video clips are somewhere between cringy and an embarrassment... not only for the USSS director, but also for those interviewing her. It all just looks like a kangaroo court to me and pretty shameful.

They were understaffing Trump's security detail out of spite. They have been open about how badly they hated that guy and they were doing everything they could to send a message to him. Congressional leaders have been on record for more than a year calling for pulling Trump's security detail.
Seems to be the deal with every public hearing these days.

He's probably embarrassed about the current state of the USSS and frustrated that they aren't the same group that he was a big part of (not that there aren't plenty of good ones left, just that they have been watered down). I'm guessing he feels the same about the current state of football with NIL.
Folks have gotten too soft in general with feelings taking the place of common sense and strength.
