I’d be surprised if any sitting president attended a funeral for a senator or anyone else. The security arrangements for that would be insane. Read what Jay Leno said about when Obama came on his show.

This was DC. There was plenty of security in place. The fact that draft dodging Trump wasn't present was because he had insulted McCain and a host of others. And that is the same reason he didn't attend Barbara Bush's funeral. The clown ain't got no class.

Don’t bite the hand that was so gracious and allowed millions of dollars to be used when you are being given a Federal CC
