Wake returned the least starters of any Acc Team from a year ago at 10. Its a testament to their coaching staff they are 3-1. Ga Tech is a bad football team but Ga Tech looked like the 1985 Bears against Wake. They sacked Wake's QB 8 times, he threw 3 INT's and had 3 fumbles of which he lost one. Phil Mafah could actually give their backs pointers on how to pass pro. If they play as poorly as they did upfront against Ga Tech, our Line and LB's will sack the guy 10 times for sure.

Offensively, their stats are odd for a 3-1 team. They only have 3 rushing Td's. Their Qb is an under 60 percent passer on the year despite facing Elon, Old Dominion, Vanderbilt and Ga Tech. Turnovers and fluke plays by their offense have been the norm. They have some solid wr's and backs as far as running goes but it just seems to not have worked in unison yet. They could have used the Bye week to try and shore up their pass protection or focus on quick throws in their offense. The Crowd at DV will be interesting for a team that played only one road game this year and that was at Old Dominion.

Their defense is the strength of their team. I like Mustapha, and their Db Jones has 3 Ints(think he is a freshman). They have 15 sacks on the year in the four games they have played. They are undersized again at d-line which seems like that could actually be trouble considering how that played out a week ago.

This seems like a game where tempo would be in use. I also expect that this might be the first game we see more respect for the passing game. The Wake Forest middle is pretty strong with their LB's but their secondary was exploited a lot by Ga Tech. Wake has a pretty good rushing defense if you look at the rankings but Tech has a top 50 rushing offense and they more or less got their average per game there as well. The rest of the teams Wake has faced were not in the top 110 rushing offenses so it remains to be seen what they actually are good at besides rushing the passer.

This game happens at a good spot for our team. If we can get out to a healthy lead we should be able to play some guys we may need down the stretch and possibly hold Wiggins and Antonio another week in the process.
