I've got a group of 8 with an annual trip to Pinehurst. We love it from the sense that it's only an hour from home for most of us and we've found a great house that fits us well. But we are looking to turn the page to a new destination in 2026. Starting to peak ahead. It's usually a 3-night affair, but we could entertain 4 nights possibly. Target late April thru mid-May.
Only real requirement would be something with a reasonable drive from central NC - call it ~6 hours or less. We don't really want to deal with flying for only 3-4 nights away. Not looking for world-class "break the bank" trip, but want some solid golf courses in the lineup.
I know the Myrtle Beach area has a ton of golf options, but that's the one idea I'd rule out. Looking for something new and would love some ideas/recommendations. I've inquired with Sea Island in Georgia but waiting on a quote to see if it fits our groups budget. It very well may be a "break the bank" type I'm trying to avoid but I saw an add and it looked pretty sweet. If anyone who reads this has been there, feel free to add your review.
