Grocery cost question

I have no clue what your talking about. I didn't say you were a child. My point was that 15-19 year olds starting wages are too high and they don't want to work or even need to work because most of them are spoiled. This is one thing leading to higher food costs
Bullshit. That, as a CEO told me once, is simple man thinking and simple man math.

How about this? Don't worry about it. Let him get it fixed. You don't need to know how.
It's too bad your guy made it this way. Give ours a chance to fix it. He's not even in the office yet, and you're already wondering how he's going to do the job.
You shouldn't have followed the herd of blind sheep to start with punk!
Lol. Your head is seriously so far up your ass. Truly remarkable.

LOL that you think

There is a plan. You're just too ignorant to understand it.

You voted for a f'in vegetable in 2020. You voted for a C**k sucking Communist in 2024 who has absolutely no plan for anything.

How is that plan working out?

Your party lost the election, (BHO says elections have consequences) so put your DUNCE hat on and go sit in the corner and STFU. Nobody gives a F**K what you have to say.
The stupid people have spoken.

You are welcome to start your own thread discussing herding and animal husbandry, but this is off topic here. This thread is for actual discussion on issues, not performing public fellatio on yourself, like you seem to be doing.

The answer is to make people go to work. NO FREE LUNCH!
Connect the dots with that statement. How will eliminating subsidies for children the disabled, the out of work, single mothers etc... help with the price of eggs.

This thread isn't about claims, its about stating HOW WE ARE GOING TO GET THERE. You actually have to support statements.

You are truly dumb enough to believe this. You think Trump won because of the price of eggs?

Dumb enough to believe that engaging you would lead to the outlining an actual plan? Yes apparently I was duped. Please start your own thread where you discuss fools like me who dare to be stupid enough to ask people: What's the plan?

This thread is about actually answering my questions. Not at all about your feelings.

Neither of you can handle that your president was a complete failure and both of you circle jerked around him for 4 years.

I'm not asking about your feelings. I'm asking about process. You apparently have no clue what that means. Feel free to leave the thread and start your own.

Here we are addressing the OP question. Nothing else.

I think deporting millions of illegals who shop at stores will help drop food prices due to law of supply and demand. Lower fuel prices should help lower food prices also imo.

Really you think that? What would happen if a supply side economy didn't have half it's work force?

Huge over exaggeration. Crops will be picked by legal seasonal workers. They are not going to deport all of them anyway even though I would support it. We can also put some Americans back in the workforce that dropped out.

But illegals in your terms are known to be 50% of the work force. What happens to a business when it unexpectededly loses that much work force?

Oh, the f'in irony of this post. LOL. Everything you libtards do in life is based on feelings.

My "actual plan" is to keep providing for my family, as I've always done, and hope and trust you freaking libs don't find a way to fvck it up.

We should probably take what the liberals ITT say, since 98% of what they said would happen in the last administration never did and what would happen to Trump never did.

There's no argument for that. You all lie, just as the MSM media has done for a solid 8-10 years.
Don't give me your examples, links, whataboutism, etc.

It's over, you lied, you LOST!!!
Build that wall. Repeal and replace. I mean, the liberals never do what they say they will.

There are plenty of places with higher minimum wages and lower food costs. What a brainbuster that must be for you guys

Dude, again, this thread is not about you and your feelings. Its about addressing the actual OP in this thread. Good luck with your feelings though.

Ok...you are referring just to agriculture. They can ship in as many seasonal legal ag workers that are needed. No problem with that.

Construction would be interesting to see the percentage.
Wait.... You think that farms, who have been employing undocumented workers, at a huge price savings cost for labor, can just "ship them in no problem"?

Explain how that's going to work and who is going to pay for that

There are existing seasonal worker programs run by the government.

and 50% of the farm labor is supplied from undocumented illegal

Can you again, explain how reducing the labor force, in a supply sided economy, is going to reduce prices?

Would you not agree, that it will cost farms more to hire legal labor?

Would that not preclude the farms to raise the prices of their goods, to cover the increase in overhead?

Where are the smart people that have thought this through?

I've also tried to find a plan and don't see one. This article notes that sustained price declines typically only happen in steep, protracted recessions, so maybe that's the plan?

Additionally

“There is a fundamental disconnect between a stated goal of reducing grocery prices and tariff policy that only stands to increase those costs,” said Tom Madrecki, the association’s vice president of campaigns and special projects.

Ortega said Trump’s plans to deport people who are in the U.S. illegally could also drive up grocery prices. There are more than 2 million undocumented workers throughout the U.S. food chain, he said, including an estimated 1 million working on farms, 750,000 working in restaurants and 200,000 in food production.

At the Michigan town hall, Trump said lowering energy costs by increasing oil and gas drilling would also lower food prices.

“If you make doughnuts, if you make cars, whatever you make, energy is a big deal, and we’re going to get that. It’s my ambition to get your energy bill within 12 months down 50%,” he said.

Energy makes up a relatively small portion of the cost of food production and sales. For every $1 spent on food in 2022, a little less than 4 cents went toward energy costs, according to the USDA. Farm production cost 8 cents, while food processing cost 14 cents.

Joseph Glauber, a senior research fellow with the International Food Policy Research Institute, said energy prices are important, but they have already come down significantly over the past year.

“I think it would be difficult for the Trump administration to have much impact on energy prices in the short run,” Glauber said.

When asked whether Trump had plans beyond energy and tariffs to lower grocery costs, a spokesperson for his transition team didn’t give further details."
