It ALL depends on what the UNIVERSITY considers a success. If it’s going 9-3, competing for ACC titles and graduating 99% of your kids — then Dabo is obviously the right guy for that.
If the goal is to legitimately compete for national titles (again) then one of two things has to happen; Dabo has to adapt, or it’s time for him to move on. And no, I’m not asking for Dabo to be gone, fully aware the grass isn’t always greener, but I feel like the UNIVERSITY has to make a decision on what’s the GOAL. There are a lot of programs who wish they were Clemson… even after a day like today.
But — college football has changed, a lot, since Trevor graduated. And well, Clemson hasn’t.
Something has to give… or, let’s just be cool with being what we are.
