I know plenty of Muslims that love this country. My sister-in-law's entire family is Muslim and they love America, and they're first generation immigrants. Muslims can love America, and if you think they can't then you're pretty stupid.

The free Palestine protesters are an obvious slam dunk example of activities that foreign students should not engage in. I wouldn't even mind peaceful lawful protests. These people have no interest in America. They are over here to raise hell for Palestine. We need to keep these factions out of the nation as much as possible. I would agree that each situation should be looked at individually.

The Muslim situation is a challenging one. On one hand, we should all be against discrimination and also recognize the enhanced value of a diverse country.
On the other hand, it’s incredibly clear that Muslim immigration has been a bad thing for many European countries.
When you have a clear data point like that, I think it’s okay to revisit the original points.

It, like most aspects of immigration involving different cultures, is a complex topic where both bad and good results can be seen in social/cultural, political, and economic areas.

Because that’s the argument for immigration. The addition of diverse cultures makes a country stronger. If the addition of a particular culture does the opposite, it’s fair to question it.
My personal opinion is that we shouldn’t ban Muslims of course, but we should limit immigration from countries with more radicalized or jihadist Muslim populations. Additionally, all immigrants (not just Muslims) should have to pass both background checks and a polygraph verifying their intentions in America and their embracing of our culture and values.

If Islamic jihadist or radicals come in and commit crimes like this, punish them to the fullest extent of the law and deport them.
But all Muslims are not the same and have different beliefs. It’s not a monolithic religion with one iteration of practice, just like your version of Christianity is not monolithic. It’s certainly different than the founding fathers who you so desperately chose to post quotes of the other day. In fact, my extremely evangelical southern Baptist church I grew up in certainly didn’t think the founding fathers were Christian enough, or Christian’s at all; they called them deists.
You make everything black and white because nuance is hard. But it’s worth it to learn some- you should try.
