Has Nike lost its mind.....Kaepernick is the new face for Nike's

If you buy or don't buy any product because of who the celebrity is..well...let's just say I feel sorry for you. For the life of me I don't get people destroying their Keurigs or Nikes or refusing to eat at Chick-Fil-A over stupid politics. Sorry, but I'm going to live my life. I wear Hoka shoes because they are the best for my knees. I wear Nike socks because they are super comfortable. I'm going to continue wearing them. The whole country is a bunch of snowflakes shouting "snowflake" at each other.

A-freaking-Men! So much logic and truth here. Especially the last sentence.

Pretty sure that Nike has people smarter than the ding dongs on this thread saying they will lose $$. I'm inclined to think the money is the very first thing they figured out. Nothing worse than a snowflake yelling snowflake, as mentioned above. Don't like it, don't buy it, go post about it on facebook, nobody cares.

You ever heard anyone other than a white man called a honkey? What about cracker? Oh so now theres no such thing as racial slurs when it comes to whites? You got a lot to learn, Junior. Stop watching CNN and MSNBC and get out in the real world. People of ALL races are hateful and racist and it all needs to stop if this country ever expects to move forward.
Nobody calls anybody those things. Where do you live that it makes it so hard for you as a white man to live?

Cause as a white man myself I have never experienced any of the like.

What kind of savage buys a Keurig? Yuck. You might as well drink instant coffee.

It's perfect for me. I don't drink coffee but guests do so it's great for them. It also works really well for instant hot water for tea or soup.

Trump hates McCain so conservatives hate him. If Trump ever tweeted support of Kap these people on here would be buying 300 dollar F da Police shoes.

Not really on topic here necessarily but I don’t get where this comes from. Most of the politically and socially conservative people I know think Trump has done some really good things for our country while they are embarrassed that he acts like an 8 year old a good bit of the time. I know a lot of people that think he has done a pretty fair job that would never dream of blindly supporting him as you mention. Just wanted to throw hat out there.

Pat Tillman would be standing right with Kaepernick...

truth. I read Krakauer' book about Tillman, he would have absolutely been 100% behind Kapernick. He would also not have appreciated having trumpsters using his name in their arguments. He didnt want Bush using him as a poster boy during that war in the first place.

Funny how uninformed rubes want to attach their own beliefs to people who were on the opposite side of the debate. Molly Tibbetts dad also says hello.

The real truth here is.... We shall see how this affects them. We honestly have no idea, at this moment. Time will tell though.

There's seriously no reason arguing over how it might or might not affect them. The greatest part about this country is you have the right to not buy Nike's because of this or to buy more because of it.

The reality that I dont think most people on here understand…. You seriously aren't changing peoples minds.

And yet no comment about John McCain yet ...

Hell - the man just had his FIFTH FUNERAL!!!!! I think we've ALL heard enough about McCain for a while.

The thing about Nike is that they supposedly spend more on endorsements than they do on the actual products they make. That was always the rumor. I've never researched it myself but that was always the "shithouse rumor" on Nike.

Personally I don't like their shoes. I prefer New Balance or Adidas but I'm not particularly brand loyal.

Many communities have had positive interaction between law enforcement and citizens since this all started, NFL players have donated money, purchased vehicles for law enforcement, etc. Plenty of good dialogue by good men and women not anonymous hate mongers on websites. Politicians create division by design so they have also done their part to keep us divided.

I think you hit the nail on the head here. We need more of one and less of the other!

To be fair his question was for Conservative freedom loving hypocrites. You responded. He didn't say disagreeing was hypocritical and racist. He asked a question to admitted conservative freedom loving hypocrites. I'm not saying you are any of those things. You can understand where one might assume that after you responded to the question tho. Right?

No. There are no REAL conversations regarding Conservatism in this country. Conservatives became vermin during the last Administration.

There was a time when this Country had 2 parties capable of working through real problems. Today we have Socialist Liberals screaming at Far Far Righters....and then there's the majority of us left in the middle wondering why this push away from our Republic and wanting to destroy it. Me.... I just want to be left the fvck alone.....and I will fight to be left the fvck alone.....like the rest of the majority.
I like your style of arguing. Classic conservative.

I’m talking about a convicted murder getting only 15 years because he was a cop. What does black on black crime have to do with cops killing people. Maybe if cops killed more white teens people would call them out more.

End of the day cops are paid by tax dollars. They are here to serve and protect the citizens. If you want to live in a police state leave. There are plenty of big government countries you can fit in.

And by God we are living in one now....and shit gets worse every year.

New Balance and Puma. My wife bought a pair of Nikes for me for Christmas. The construction is crap on a $95 simple white leather (faux I'm sure) shoe. It was the last Nike shoes that would have entered this house before this new "speaker" for them came along. New Balance is a better made shoe....IMO.

You can read reviews on any shoe. If you’re paying 90+ dollars you should read up on them. You’d never buy Nike if you did.

Nothing to do with people hating nike, they just make crap shoes.

All in the Family and The Jefferson's television show are the only places I've ever heard someone called

Nike has never to my knowledge been the superior running shoe. New Balance for one crushes them. Even some lesser known brands have way better reviews than Nike running. I doubt Nike is top 5.

This has been well known prior to this announcement. Just look at what professional runners wear, go to a store that sells running shoes that has someone other than teens in part time jobs selling them, or just search the internet for reviews as you guys have stated. People beginning to bash Nike with info known for decades is hilarious.

This is the truest statement in this thread. Low iq sheep.

Arrogant much? Degrading a large group of people doesn't typically serve much of a purpose BTW.
I personally think people take issue with McCain's political record because of the Obamacare stance. He was also censured by the AZ republican party in 2014.

That guy is a moron. It doesnt make it a racist crime. and Yes, Im being serious and I know nothing about the details of the incident other than the article you linked.

I’m just trying to figure out how a capital punishment state like Texas is so relaxed with convicted murderers.

"Low iq sheep" is arrogant. It doesnt matter if you know the IQs. Thats arrogant and not debateable. I know the group you're referring to but painting with such a broad brush is only inflammatory. Not gonna serve much purpose but i doubt that was your intent.

You are kind of making his point for him.

McCain didn't just vote the way his party told him to, he voted his conscious. His party and republicans didnt like that, b/c they expect you to always toe the party line. (in other words, be a sheep) Have you noticed that every time a republican says they will not run for reelection, they immediately become critical of trump? See Gowdy as the latest example.

I get your point but I disagree personally. "The party line" isn't as important as the individual topics. Most people I talked to formed their opinions on Obamacare because of the stories they heard or the people they knew that lost coverage.

I think any party isn't gonna be thrilled with someone that consistently votes contrary to the beliefs of said party which McCain didnt really do, BTW. He was just below average on "toeing the company like" compared to other Republicans. Hence why I believe it was strongly related to Obamacare. JMO

conservatives citing pat tillman will never not be funny to me

the dude planned to meet with noam fvcking chomsky when he was finished with his duty and was largely disillusioned with war at the time of his death

he would almost without a doubt support kaepernick's protest because he was intelligent and thoughtful

None of what you said is relevant to talking a knee to raise awareness on why innocent black men are getting killed by cops.

I don’t understand why you and others get so upset because people are trying to prevent innocent people from getting killed by cops.

When do you think the protesters will stop kneeling?

I just think, unfortunately, innocent people are going to continue to be killed. When will the statistics be favorable enough to say, "We did it guys. Now let's stop kneeling."

I'm not suggesting you shouldn't kneel. I just don't really see there ever being an end game within at least the next 50 years or maybe longer.

I know you're probably legit curious but who cares? Or I should say why do you care? What impact does it have on you? When protestors block traffic I tell myself to be compassionate. If it were my cause I'd want others to be. So I don't get upset. But I can understand that more if someone were running late for example. I'm not mad at them for being angry in the moment. But what inconvenience is a peaceful protest that doesn't delay anything and quite frankly is happening during a show of bought and paid for fake patriotism by the NFL anyway. I stand but that's me. Why do I care how long they kneel? Seems to be a weak way to disagree. They could be out in the streets retaliating but instead peaceful protest prior to a footbal game. I don't think it's a bad question but it just leads to another question.

I'm not disagreeing, and nor do I care if people kneel. I would love for the unnecessary violence to stop. I just think the kneeling thing is becoming fairly commonplace and losing its sexiness.

For example, I thought it was pretty disrespectful right at first. A shock factor. Now, it's just like who cares. Harmless and doesn't bother anyone.

And I also just don't see the day where the protesters are all of a sudden satisfied.

I hear that. I really feel like it was over. It served the purpose that was intended but then folks started talking about taking away the right to do so. It became alive again.

I just don't respect the fake patriots that only ever spoke up for veterans in this case but continue to let Congress piss all over them. They continue to shut down very reasonable bills regarding their care and support and zero outage from the American people. But when they kneel everyone all of a sudden gives a damn about veterans. It's a huge joke. Most comprehensive bill ever was shot down at the height of all of this without a word from the American people. Fake patriots. But I ain't mad at you tho. It's much bigger than you and I.

Tillman left a 7 figure salary and went through a top 5 grueling selection school to spend the end of his days in a crap hole fighting the war on terrorism. Regardless of political affiliation or message he meant to send, he quietly went off and fought in a war paying the ultimate sacrifice. Kap took a knee and then expected to continue being paid a 7 figure salary, which he's now suing the NFL for. You see the irony here right? It's one thing to stand up against a wrong or a ton of wrong in this case but kneeling during what is considered a sacred ceremonial event does nothing but drown your cause out from the creation of further divide.......no one hears the message, they just see disrespect.

If Kap refuses to play another down of football until he gets a movement behind him or lobbies the league to create a movement, gaining support of the owners to push politicians and national awareness then that's a different beast and I think people would support that cause......it sends the right message. None of these guys are refusing to play football until they get some commitments from the government or the nation.

Tillman and Kap though not apples for apples in scenario, both went about standing (or not standing) up for their cause in two very different manners. There's no political point to be made there........those are just facts.
