Several interesting stories / comments.
- She went to Arkansas and was there when Petrino was fired. Apparently many of his injuries in the famous picture with the neck brace were from the girls fiancé beating the fool out of him and not just the actual motorcycle accident.
- They literally fired Bret Bielma as he was walking off the field after his last game.
- Said there were instances where coaches had to treat certain players with kid gloves because of the influence from the big money NIL donors. Basically the players complained the donors and then the donors told the coach to back off or they were not giving any more money. Carson Beck was thrown out as an example.
- Said James Franklin was very difficult with reporters. Apparently many reporters share that view.
- Said she could see the BIG and SEC breaking away from the NCAA.
- Said a lot of wealthy people in Arkansas who had the money to give to NIL did not because they saw it as a bad investment. (They did not get wealthy from making bad financial decisions).
- Said she thought SMU would beat us but would not be surprised if we won.
- Said that she thought the loss to Michigan LAST YEAR had a big impact on Ryan Day and felt he would be out if Ohio State did not win it all this year.
That’s all I can remember. She is a great speaker and would be a good guest for the Dubcast.
