Herniated Disc - Just diagnosed

Herniated at L-1. I have no idea what to expect from here. Lots of pain, staying on a heating pad, laying flat. Taking steroids.

Seeing my ortho tomorrow at noon.

What happens from here?
I’ve heard PT, epidural, surgery?

Is this a forever issue for me now?
