Hey Iceheart....

came from a pharma sales family... my understanding is the practice has gone from taking the doctor to lunch to catering lunch in the office with "educational" materials presented during lunch.
Ain't even close to what it was 15 years ago. personally that stinks

I'm a pharmacist. We are invited to dinners at Hall's, Oak, Stars, etc on a weekly basis. Yes, it is "educational," but does that change the fact that the pharm company is dropping $1000s on the dinner?

wasn't disputing it, was adding clarification to the dispute over the change in practices from the "wild 90s"... was intending it to be a bit tongue in cheek as well.

You lost me at Bear Stearns....why don't you use Standard Oil as your oil/gas example.

Sorry, I'll be more specific. David Malpass. Bear Stearns for 15 years as the investment bank's chief economist before it almost went under and had to be sold to JPMorgan.

I'm specifically talking about oil pipelines and natural gas--spills happen all the time. http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/09/bentley_declares_state_of_emer.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_pipeline_accidents_in_the_United_States_in_the_21st_century

I'll never know why the party of Teddy Roosevelt decided it needed to become beholden to corporate interests and ditch the conservation part of being a conservative.

1. The ideology that the white race is vastly superior to all other races. Those searching to obtain an all white nation because those of other races don't belong due to the belief that they are inferior.

2. Prejudice against people of Jewish descent.

And it's not my eyes that have decided those definitions. So it's not only my eyes that would view that way if you do associate with either of those.

unfortunately, i guess, white people created the constitution, created the values that made america great. if those core values and principles i hold dearly make me a white nationalist racist, then so be it.

if wanting to make sure that also humans who cross the border do so legally make me racist- so be it.

if i think we should treat treat jews and germans exactly the same, and i refuse to show jews any special treatment and that makes me anti semitic- so be it.

these liberal minds in america are soooo fukked up that they may be more dangerous to the sovereignty of the states.

think about this-

LA, Chicago, NYC, and DC- those 4 cities alm st have enough power to control the government.

4 cities control should not control that much power.

city folks and country folks cannot be more divided on what makes america great.

again it all goes back to the cost of healthcare per american cradle to grave is more per person than 80-90% of the population even earns in their lifetime.

how do you bring the cost of everything- INCLUDING PHARMACEUTICALS.

obviously reducing the fringe benefits sales reps dish out would be a start.

but the simple cost of an xray should be no more than $100.

a doctor visit for 15 min should be no more than $50.

blood work should be no more than $10 a test.

we can fix healthcare, but that means alot of those in the healthcare field who have been living high on the hog have to learn to live like the rest.
