Hey TI-

You worship a God that puts a man who has cheated on all 3 of his wives, attacks and belittles anyone who disagrees with him, and can’t name his favorite Bible verse into power? The man is a direct contradiction of everything I was taught that a God-following person should be. It’s no wonder the church has been in decline for several decades.

DO YOU SIN? Every last one of us are undeserving of anything! SAVED BY GRACE. JESUS PAID FOR MY SINS. AND YOURS. AND TRUMPS. Your comment is everything a Christian should not be.

David committed adultery with Bathsheba and had her husband intentionally killed in battle after getting her pregnant. Yet God forgave him and made him King. Even flawed individuals can be used by God.

Yes I do “sin,” but I’m not the one saying I was saved by God. Divine intervention is a slippery logical slope - eg, if God is capable then why does He choose not to intervene for the most heinous of acts against innocent children?

I was taught there was at least some responsibility on the individual to pursue righteousness after repenting - I have yet to see Trump improves his conduct in a way becoming of a Christian man.

Slippery slope? I think many of us believe Trump was spared by God. For His purpose. You are so quick to judge Trump. I think he’s a very good human. I think he does a tremendous amount of good for people in need without us ever knowing…because he does it without advertising, just like the Bible says. It’s told by others much later.

He’s also very magnanimous. Much more so than I would be with all the hell they have put him through. I would want to go after every last one of them. But he is forgiving and moving forward. He doesn’t need any of this. He’s a billionaire. He’s doing it for his country. He’s a true Patriot.

I truly get a kick out of “Christians” calling out Trump for his sins.

Why are you judging someone else’s walk with Christ? How long have you been a Christian? Were you perfect when you first got saved? Lived a perfect life since?

Maybe the church has been in decline because the world has thrown off all restraints and baby/immature Christians gave up when people like you judged and condemned them for everything they did wrong! So called Christians have done more harm to the kingdom than any devil could ever do!!

I just wanted to note that of the number of people I know who have left the church, the main reason stated was that the things said from the pulpit on love and taught about the way Jesus treated people was not lived out in the people around them. That the church had become about what you were against more than what you were for. That while they may be perfectly nice to each other, their interactions with others looked nothing like Jesus.

I've said this before, but I do believe the Bible teaches people should want the government to do its job, organize the people, protect the people, etc, and therefore I think you could Biblically argue for a Christian to vote the way they think is in the best interest of the people, regardless of the person at the top of the ticket. But I just for the life of me can't understand how people can read the scripture and then become so openly "fans" of a politician, calling people demoncrats, or libtards, or any of the other names I see on here and in the world. I know and hear so much more of the things that Christians are against than I know what they are for.

I see people so angry at many people who have chosen to live a sinful life, and yet celebrate a leader who has lived an openly sinful life at the same time. It is your right, but just don't have any illusions on then trying to witness to those same people.

Well, the rainbow is a symbol of God’s covenant promise…not Gay Pride! You should know that.
So are you flying a rainbow flag on your porch or are you not proud of God's covenant promise?

I do know what it symbolized in the Bible, but that is still dancing around the point. To the world it does not symbolize a promise, and you also know that. Just like certain hand gestures may have changed over time. Just like certain other flags have changed meaning over time. The Nazi symbol itself use to be a Hindu symbol I think. But if a Hindu flew a flag with the symbol, what do you think people driving by would assume?

You think it’s okay for a politician to call people who do not support them or their radical policies “garbage” and “deplorables”…that’s acceptable to you?

What about people who see “Christians” supporting the murder of millions of innocent babies, supporting same sex marriage (that the Bible says is an abomination to God), supporting the transgendering of innocent children. You think that’s okay?

I'm not sure where I said any of that?

Who do you know that flies the rainbow flag or wears a rainbow shirt in honor of God’s covenant?

I don't know anyone who does, because it is now a universally recognized symbol (when in the form of a flag at least) of the LGBTQ community.

Not when people see an actual rainbow in the sky, but a flag.

And it’s a disgrace that people think that that’s okay…especially Christians
I tend to think its a disgrace the way that Christians treat non-believers who aren't like them. They will get absolutely livid over a rainbow flag, but not say anything to the prideful church goer, or the covetous, or the angry amongst them.

I’m telling you what a rainbow symbolizes to me. And to Christians.
Sure, and I get that. But you are also aware of what it would mean to others, and so you don't put it on your clothing or a flag outside your house. That is my point. The Heil Hitler could mean whatever you want to you, but you would be aware that doing it on stage in public would mean be taken differently to the crowd. I know you both get this. I'm not trying to convince you the rainbow means gay pride to you.

Tell me what Christians treat non-believe bad because they don’t act like Christians. You know that’s really a ridiculous statement! You really think they get livid over a flag? 😂 …maybe they get “livid” over people taking God’s symbol of His promises and using it as a symbol of perversion and sinfulness.

You might be going to the wrong church if your church is full of prideful and judgemental church goers. BTW you do know that not everyone that goes to church is a Christian, right?

If you don’t see any Christians calling other people names, showing anger (not the type of righteous anger Jesus had at people inside the church), or treating gay/trans people as lesser than, then I am honestly jealous of you.

I am just telling you the near worship of such a flawed man by many is damaging their witness to anyone who doesn’t already agree with them.

What I said was “Tell me what Christians treat non-believe bad because they don’t act like Christians.”

You think people worship a “practicing” Catholic, who supports the murder of the unborn, same sex marriage and the transgendering of 6 years olds is better?

I don’t see people around me worshipping Biden (as I 100% agree they shouldn’t). I think the mindset that me stating someone shouldn’t worship Trump means I think they should worship Biden is a HUGE problem. I see a lot of professed Christians absolutely giddy talking about Trump, what he’s said, is going to do to the Libs, etc, but don’t see those same people say the same about the work Christ has done in their life (disclaimer that I am not making this personal to you as I don’t know you)

And treating someone poorly because they are gay/trans/etc is treating them bad because they aren’t Christian. I see it every day on this board and other forms of social media. Like I said, if you don’t, I am jealous.

But my point is Christians can’t be judging sinners for not acting like Christians because they aren’t Christian’s! Now I certainly don’t think (and yes I see it) Christians should be condemning non-Christian’s. But I do believe it is perfectly fine for Christians not approving sin…Christ did that!

I do think it’s comical that you want to blast Christians for their support and excitement over Trump winning the Presidency and loving all that he’s doing today to reverse the sickening executive orders from Biden and this previous evil administration!!

Alright man, have a good night

haha

Not sure what this proves, other than, like far left Guardian you cited, you hate Elon.

Not only is there no way The Guardian is going to post anything remotely objective here, the whole article consists of but a five-word quote from Elon.

Elon is a proponent of near austerity measures to tame failed government programs and get debt under control.
