As many of you, I am reading all I can about College Football, even if it's frivolous.
Came across an article discussing what is a NC and how many teams and leagues and on and on, if this season is not normal....which I doubt it is.
Here's the quote:
"Consider the Power Five conferences are guaranteed a minimum of approximately $100 million each for participating in the CFP. That includes a $66 million annual base payout. All five conferences except the ACC get $40 million from their "contract" bowls -- Big 12-SEC (Sugar), Big Ten-Pac-12 (Rose). The ACC gets $27.5 million for playing in the Orange Bowl. There is an additional $6 million to each conference that sends a team to the CFP."
And yet, WE -the ACC, have Swoffie's prize plum of Notre Dame, sorta, on our side.
Except, we gave up most everything to them and let them keep their NBC money and their share of the big pie from the ESPN (64 Power Five Schools -in conferences- plus ND) and they share that amount with no one.
Good negotiations right there.
