I compiled TV viewership from Medium.com from 2015-2023 (skipping 2020 Covid year). Here is the data for the Power 4/5 schools. Clemson checks in at number 11 and FSU at number 13. I would say Clemson and FSU will be getting BIG paydays soon if you know what I mean. The only way the ACC keeps these two in conference is to start paying them Top 15 type money. It is pretty simple math to take the avg viewers over the last 8 years. We have the data and distribute the money out appropriately to the teams bringing in the dollars. That is the only way they could keep us. We will finally be getting paid what we SHOULD be getting paid. Not to mention since most of the ACC teams don't have very many viewers, imagine when Clemson is playing AL, LSU, TN, GA, etc. or Ohio St., Michigan, Penn ST, USC etc. on a regular basis. Our viewership will sky rocket up to near the top of each conference. Even the lower viewership teams in their conferences are considerably better than the ACC bottom 2/3rds. Just some fun numbers to look at in the off season. Any way you cut it, Clemson and FSU bring top 15 money. That puts us in a GREAT position. We are better additions then USC, Washington, Oregon and UCLA from a veiwership standpoint. We also have both won national championships during the playoff era.
