I was told from a very reliable source that a major D1 school (or its NIL people) offered a very highly ranked DL recruit from the Savannah Area $1,000,000 per year, and that UGA (the presumed favorite) would have to up its ante if they wanted to get him. We recruited him early in the process, but I suppose we were not willing to play that game, which is honestly fine with me. I wonder if one pays this kid this much money, and it certainly appears he will get at least that, then how much would they have to pay other recruits, or current players on the team with remaining eligibility?
