Who knows. But he ripped Kamala last night. When all the post debate shows minus Fox focus on mansplaining and interrupting (compared to last week), they know what went down.

I thought it was a good debate ... at least you could hear both sides point of views. I thought Senator Harris won and did what she needed to do to continue the momentum of the Biden campaign.
Going forward, presidential debates should require a presentation of plans first and then debate those plans after. These debates contain no credible facts that show what they will do, how they will do it and when they will deliver.

At what point will they produce a review of how they would have handled Covid differently versus telling the world that Trump screwed the nation? How old are you? Have you ever seen debates before? The sitting president always gets hammered on their record, their job is to defend it.
And Biden has already laid out how he would have handled the pandemic. He would have not fired the pandemic team and would have let them (scientists) lead the response. If this pandemic had not happened during an election year, we would have had stronger leadership from trump / pence and would have a lot fewer deaths.
Are you serious? Did you ever stop to think for a moment that maybe, just maybe, the recent plummet in jobs numbers might have to do with this little pandemic in our midst? How the hell would an act of God (or more specifically, of China) correlate to Pres. Trump doing a bad job with economy/employment? LOL, and by the way, it's the Democrats who are most in favor of more stringent lockdowns/distancing measures, which is what hurts these job numbers. 🙄
If trump was a leader - instead of just worrying about his reelection - he would have implemented mask requirements, high speed testing and contact tracing early on. But he didnt. So we had a shutdown and with 4% of the world's population, we have 21% of the world's covid deaths. Other countries were able to avoid the negative economic impact that we have suffered by doing these things. Its too bad trump fired the pandemic team and then bragged about doing it.

So what you're saying is, rather than hold the people running against the incumbents to state their plans and what they stand for, we should just watch them attack the incumbent? I'd much rather understand what either party plans to do for 4 years and how they plant to spend my tax dollars.
Also, "listening to scientists" isn't a plan. As the president, you have to ascertain what the balance of scientific caution vs economic collapse is and execute a strategy that straddles the two. How do you inject stimulus without incurring debt/inflation/increasing taxes? How do we deal with the increased addiction and depression rates from locking down? Food shortages? Long term unemployment? Corporate debt crisis from lack of income vs costs? You haven't even seen the true fallout from the lockdown that we did execute across the country and it wasn't nearly as stringent as what the scientists proposed. Wait until all of the public companies start reporting late year earnings misses, government subsidized things like amtrak, nj transit etc are insolvent and need to be bailed out, corporate real estate becomes a crisis.......how will Joe deal those issues? More fake money? That's the plan I want to see so I can figure out if I trust who sits in office now or the potential replacement. I give zero f*cks about party, I vote candidate.

Again, if you have ever watched debates you know this is what they are. Political theater. Four years ago, Trump offered no plans other than he was going to make america great again. Then he was going to keep america great, then that didnt work so now he is back to wanting to make it great again.

I would point out that Donald Trump literally doesn't have a plan for anything. His Health Care plan has been to eliminate the ACA and then.....nothing. he has never released any sort of plan. He speaks in broad catchphrases such as MAGA and "Build a Wall" and his fans eat that up. The problem is none of it is real. There is no plan. He's a showman who has trolled the right into thinking he gives a damn about you or anyone else. A guy who was pro-choice and very obviously not a Christian has used the religious establishment to get elected. The right can't bring themselves to admit how wrong they were.

I thought it was a very good debate and both candidates did very well. I turned to my wife about half way through and said "Why cant these two be running instead?"

There isnt a doubt in my mind that Biden is a better person, but ... I entirely, totally, emphatically, reject the agenda of the far left. I'm also pretty rooted firmly in the middle. I don't believe in the far left and I don't believe in the far right.
We may not agree on who the best candidate is but that doesn't make me a horrible person nor does it make you one, just means we don't agree which is why we have a democracy.
Personally, I would have voted for Bloomberg all day long. I want a CEO minded president that can manage a multi trillion dollar P&L. Bloomberg was the only candidate/potential candidate that could do that.

Honestly, this is the truth and its cost us all a lot of money, misery and heartache. If he had mandated masks, led by example, not disputed the science or cheer lead that it would just vanish, then his supporters would have taken it more seriously. I know some of his more hard headed supporters personally and they refuse to wear a mask on principle. They never really care about science and stuff, always on facebook passing around bs they thought up themselves. If they had their adored leader telling them to take it seriously, that would help.
Don't forget that democrat primary voters flatly rejected the far left platform, Biden won big. I don't think Kamala is a far left as she is being portrayed by right wing media. Hell, during the primary her own fellow dems attacked her over being too conservative.
You can read the Bernie Biden Unity task force recommendations, they really are not that far to the left. There is some aggressive rhetoric on climate change, but that is something I believe we need to address.
The Republicans literally posted their platform written in 2016 as their 2020 platform. It even criticizes “the current president.” Of course it meant Obama but he’s no longer the current president. Make 2020 2016 again!
