I wouldn’t take my kid to theses events, but No one is being harmed by it, so it’s none of my business. It’s their parent’s decision.

Given the choice between my child hanging around a drag queen and someone who chooses to display a swaztika, I’ll pick the drag queen every time.

Wait a sec. Some of this is happening in public schools. And we were told in the last election cycle that parents should have no say in school curricula. In some cases it is very much compulsory.
In the early 2000s we kept hearing from superintendents that public school education was "value neutral". We knew that wasnt true. But, could we go back to acting like it was?

Would be way more concerned with the push to end standardized testing as a metric to rate if teachers and schools are doing their jobs effectively. You'll note that high schools are rated on how many kids they graduate and you'll also note that the amount of high school graduates being forced to take non-credit, remedial first year college courses is at an all time high. What does that tell you?

Long story short, schools are incentivized to move kids through as it impacts their funding regardless of each student's level. Standardized tests are the one metric that can't be altered or biased.

Scary stuff when you see so many school boards saying that standardized testing is racist.

Parents don’t have free reign to do whatever they want with their children. If they expose them to pornography or touch them inappropriately they go to jail. This is along those same lines, the question is what is appropriate and what isn’t. You seem to think parents should be allowed to expose their children to this garbage, I do not

The reality is there ARE people who want to turn children gay, there are people who want to sexualize children, and if you think there aren’t, especially at a lot of these sick pride and drag shows, you may be the dumbest person on earth

If you’re ok with or just think it’s should be parental discretion as to whether or not children belong at openly sexual themed events, you’re a sick, sick person and need to get help

There are certainly people out there who want to sexualize kids: they are gay, straight, bi and of course republicans.

We probably agree on 98%. Standardized tests...nope. Education and schooling are two different things.
