No grand prognostications here, but knowing how deliberate and careful Garland is, I'm confident he wouldn't have taken this step if he didn't see clear evidence of a crime(s). Most experts seem to agree. What that means for a prosecution I have no idea. The dude is like a cat with nine lives and has gotten away with everything else he's done to this point.
It’s pointless, this guy is a troll who can’t have an intelligent debate based on facts. It’s a fact the potus can declassify anything they want to,and the FBI has possessed the memo sent to them by the potus for 19 months.
They refuse to give the memo back or make it public, only acknowledge it’s existence. He can’t see after seven and half years that he’s done nothing they can charge him with although it’s completely obvious they’ve been trying all this time.
It’s not a coincidence it’s an undeniable fact he’s been charged with nothing after multiple agencies and prosecutors have spent millions with thousands of documents and interviews of over a thousand people. the Mueller investigation never ended, it was merely transferred to a NY US attorney and years later - nothing.
Their claim that this was sensitive information is hot garbage as usual. They would not wait 19 months for something like that and it should be obvious it’s just another lie but not to the deluded faithful.
Heres the real reason they did this now: They know the Dems are losing the House in November. They know there will be Congressional investigations next Congress with the Pubs in power and with the unredacted documents Trump had, the coup attempts would’ve have been exposed for what they were with no possibility of redacting documents they didn’t possess.
The DOJ/FBI has consistently refused to let Congress see unredacted documents so they can hide their real actions. This is the consistent pattern since 2017 when Congress attempted to expose the spying on the Trump campaign, the fact that the FBI knew within hours the Steele Dossier was completely bogus and that they lied on four subsequent FISA applications and used the Dossier as justification for the Warrants And lied to the public for years.
Their willing accomplices in the media also knew at least most of it was false, and some of it can be disproven in minutes on any search engine. They knowingly perjured themselves and said the Dossier was verified. This is a death sentence for them and they know it. There is no other reason they would expose themselves by such an obviously political and unlawful act using obviously stupid excuses that are easily debunked by any Lawyer or unbiased person who’s told what the laws and prescedents are.
If Trump didn’t have copies made, next year the DOJ will refuse to release unredacted, now unclassified documents just as they have all along. In that sense they may have won for now, but still won’t have a crime, but that’s because they already knew there wasn’t one. This was a Hail Mary, CYA move.

That's what they don't get - there's no question that what he's done is illegal and it appears they have everything they need to indict him, but there's always the chance that Garland may choose not to prosecute. That doesn't make him innocent.
That's not the point. You trust the spin that FoxNews applies to his words, believing that they're actually trying to inform you. FoxNews is an entertainment channel that requires your eyeballs to succeed and they know you won't watch unless they tell you what you want to hear. I have a wide variety of news sources, including some on the right, but if I want to see most of the top experts, they won't be on FoxNews, so I have to go to other sources. You may not be aware but the new head of CNN has been making a concerted effort to be more balanced and he even met with GOP lawmakers to get their input on how they can better incorporate their viewpoints. They now have politicians from the right on virtually every show. Democrats aren't happy about it because many of them come on and lie, as usual, but you'd probably like it better.

Stopped watching CNN , CBS , NBC , ABC , MSNBC and the rest about 10 years ago and have been the better for it.
Of course FOX will never win awards for publishing the mountains of fake news and lies but they are just not up to the task as well as the corrupt media along with corrupt FBI, DOJ and deep state
