Just (un)Do It!

I assume no one actually dislikes CK for protesting. Equality is a great thing to fight for. But CK is being rewarded for being inconsistent in his protest and, imo, protesting the wrong way.

To protest in a way that is seen as disrespectful to many of our patriotism was maybe not the right way. But what really gets me is that he protests for equality and fair treatment by law enforcement and then wears the Castro shirt, socks that call cops pigs, and does not appear aligned with the spirit of his own protest. All in the year he was getting benched.

The protest should fit the objective. Kneeling during the national anthem is a stretch connection to supposed police racism and brutality.

Didn't NIKE just recently get busted for child labor and running sweat shops all in the name of Capitalism? This seems a little cheap to me. But maybe I am against all fringe politics and assume all media are capitalistic machines just playing the sheep against each other to make a few bucks. Carry On. Go Tigers, beat the Aggies.

In before @VeniceTiger starts calling people racist.

Nike making CK their spokesman is beyond laughable. Not because he's disrespecting the flag or anything like that, but because he hasn't done anything to be deserving of it.

And LOL at anyone who tries to tell me he threw money away for his beliefs......that dude was on his way out of the league and everyone knows it.

Having said all that, if I come across a pair of Nike shoes or aparell that I like, I'm still going to buy it. I'm not boycotting Nike because CK is their current spokesman.....I think that's nuts. CK won't affect the way I live my life.
That's what my post was about. CK has been on Nike's payroll the whole time. He hasn't sacrificed a damn thing. If anything, he's done the opposite of sacrifice, because now, he gets paid to do nothing but sit around and tweet about how everybody is racist and how unfairly he's been treated.

Just got som velcro NewBalance to wear. Fvck nike and the only thing I want Kaeprnicck to just do it is jump off of a tall bridge
For defending Veterans? Remember that is the reason he started to kneel. Homeless and mistreatment of veterans. Now this story has gone anti-Vet, anti-American, Anti-White??? This is a media shit show of epic proportions. Take care of our vets and stop letting Twitter act as a news service. That is and was the message. I love Tiger nation but WTF man.

I still havent heard a compelling argument as to why we are all supposed to hate CK. The idea that its disrespectful to veterans just doesnt make sense. The flag, the anthem, they dont just belong to vets they belong to all Americans. Protesting the anthem is protesting America. I also dobt think many americans would think that way before the hyper nationalism caused by 9-11.

Anyway, try not to fill your heart with hate too much. Just my 2cents.

I hope all you Christian hero’s get rid of your clemson Nike gear. Please be sure to call and complain to the clemson athletic office as well. Y’all need to boycott all clemson games until the Nike check is removed from the jerseys. Prove you actually care about the veterans and it’s not about race. #boycottclemson

How stupid are you? He went from playing in the NFL to not playing in the NFL. He has won the first step of his grievance against the NFL as well. Regardless of how rich he is, the legal system is currently siding with him.

So yes, he did sacrifice an NFL career by pointing out cops shouldn’t kill unarmed Americans. If you have any evidence to say otherwise please bring it forward. If not you can always just scream fake news. That’s y’all snowflakes new calling sign.

What happened to pro freedom man!? I thought we were friends?

Fingers crossed some of you mouth breathers burned or cut up your Nike instead of, I don't know, donating it to veterans in need...

We disagree with sacrifice. For some reason most people are in love with the idea you have to die in an oil war. People make sacrifices every day. That is all.
I know, McCain and Bush were always trying to start the next war. On the other other extreme, Obama was afraid of Syria, even after they crossed his red line of chemical weapons. Trumps seems to be more reasonable than the war mongers or wimps.

Can’t wait to read Kap’s crying when Trump wins again in 2020! He’ll replace Ginsburg with Ted Cruz, Ha Ha.

Trump has handled the Middle East much better than bush or Obama. Him delegating that was a quality move. I also appreciate the stance towards Palestine, but the Israeli in me influences that lol.

I thought this was funny:

no matter your stance on this, we will see what Nike truly believes in. Money or the right to protest as someone sees fit.

Is it worth losing money to stand by this decision?

They won't let this cost them very much money. If it's a money loser, they'll drop it.

Daren Rovel said on Twitter that Kaepernick has been paid this whole time by Nike. I don't know if that is just royalties on previous agreements or what, but he has been getting money from them.

Nike shoes and shirts are cheaply made and over-priced. Not sure why anyone would pursue the Nike brand of anything outside of just wanting to throw money away. And polyester is great shirt material for summer. So thanks Nike for making all your Clemson polos out of it.

Nike supposedly outsources everything.

I agree. I’m a huge fan of their Nike golf polos.

Speaking of golf shirts, I found a deal at Sam's of all places. They had "PGA Brand" (whatever that is) golf shirts for $10 each. They seem pretty good and the tag on them was $55.

I have no idea if they are worth a shit for golf but at $10 a shirt they are a pretty good shirt. And they have some SPF protection.

That's the thing on Trump - he does some things very well, and some things not so well. Some things that for some reason others were afraid to do. It's a different outlook.

I'm no Trump superfan, mind you. Morally he's.......not good. I get really tired of the "God's chosen leader" crap - (though technically I guess it's correct - I just don't like the inference). But he's doing some things pretty well.

Nike isn’t worried about those of you who already purchase their product. Marketing is about attracting new buyers. Nike wins big here because TI and the rest of the country can’t stop talking about it.

He went from playing to not playing because he's not that good. He didn't sacrifice anything.

Also, it seems that Kap is only pointing out that cops shouldn't kill unarmed BLACK Americans. I get the impression he couldn't care less about the just as numerous cases of cops shooting WHITE Americans.

Bullshit. Yes, Colin Kaepernick is not an elite QB but you're lying if you don't think he's not better than at least one of these guys:
http://www.espn.com/nfl/players/_/position/qb

He absolutely did sacrifice his shot at an NFL roster, even if it's not as a starting QB on an Super Bowl contender or NFC Championship contender. He'd be making money in the NFL if he'd given up the protest, he may not have gotten a mega contract but this dude worked his whole life to be an NFL QB and was willing to give that up for what he believed in.

And you're an absolute joke with the rest of your post, not even worth addressing.

You know what brand is mentioned of the front page of almost every domestic news and sports website?

Nike.

There's no such thing as bad publicity.

That’s your opinion. His grievance has went to the next level. That doesn’t mean he is in the right, but also means he’s not in the wrong.

Kap was garbage but you can find 2 worst QBs on most nfl rosters.

My opinion is that mixing politics with business is a bad idea.

This is the last thing the NFL wanted.

Probably not something 90% of the companies they sponsor would want to be associated with.

Wonder how Nike would react if their Chinese slave labor decided to start protesting at work during work time.

I'd bet serious money they'd be FAR LESS supportive.

I agree with what you’re saying but dood wore a Castro shirt so I immediately know he’s a dolt who’s never cracked a book. To make matters worse, people are actually dumber than he is by supporting this hollow, self serving charade.

You're the type of guy that would have thought that rosa parks was boycotting buses.

I'm sorry. I don't get it.
Kap IS polarizing. That is fact, supported by the data that NFL revenues are down 20% in the last couple of years over this issue.

Do you deny that the disrespect shown the American flag is contentious??? Why do you think revenues are down and social media blew up over this issue?

Whether you agree with Kap or not, using him in a Nike ad was STUPID business. How can that be agued?

Please, from a BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE, tell me.

A convicted murder just got 15 years for killing a teenager. What’s your view of that sentencing?
That case involved a cop with mental issues , there were gunshots involved from gangs. He didn’t just pick out a black and kill them in cold blood. Punishment sounds about right. Very reckless, horrible judgement for sure. Glad that clown is off the streets

I just wish they had gave that pig the death penalty. I’m a big supporter of the death penalty for murderers.

For every wrongly killed black by cops I’ll show you 2000 who are killed by other blacks, I’ll show you 2000 whites who are killed at the hands of blacks in cold blood. If Kap really wanted to help blacks there were a lot of more important issues out there plaguing their community and culture.
Kap had no future in the nfl, he was on the way out. His militant hate filled girlfriend got him on the Blm(Soros) “movement”

But was it murder? From what I have read that’s not what the facts point to.

Ok, so what if he's a bit naive. He bought a castro tshirt like a silly teenage edge lord. Doesn't mean I have to hate the guy and freak out over his opinion. I happen to agree with part of his opinion and I think a lot of the hate he is receives justifies his stance somewhat.

So you’re cool with cops killing unarmed citizens because of black on black crime???
