Just what the hell, exactly, are we doing?! The madness has to stop

The vaccines weren't available when Trump was in office and Trump was literally on TV recently encouraging people to take them. Omicron might be more infectious but it's not nearly as deadly as the first two variants and even with Delta, we knew not to fill up nursing homes with infected people, not use ventilators, etc.

Also, BIden's death numbers are higher and that's with a vaccine and a bunch of treatments that Trump didn't have........although very clearly the government tried to squash those in favor of ensuring Pelosi's portfolio remained strong to quite strong when she went uber long on Pfizer.

Biden hasn't done anything different than Trump in the war on Covid other than waste millions In a supreme court fight on unconstitutional vaccine mandates and wear masks outside by himself.

I actually don't follow US based media for covid information, it's all too corrupt. You have to research Europe's official health data to actually get any resemblance of data that hasn't been influenced, manipulated or controlled.......you know, like when the CDC admitted to shaping data to ensure people didn't lose faith in the vaccine.

You should check out a few of this guy's videos......he's been busy proving out all sorts of bogus bullsh*t that you call gospel.

I give up - you don't even care if something is true or not as long as your narrative gets out there. To be as smart as you are, it's depressing to know that you're a willing accomplice to the disinformation nuts on the right.

Just the fact that you say Biden has done nothing different is maddening, but it's a charge you make repeatedly, no matter what proof I've provided that you're wrong - but you know you're wrong and that makes it even worse.

And your response to the FACT that most of the people that are dying are unvaccinated is you don't pay attention to American sources and watch this random dude from abroad talk smack. WTF man

Dude, you're trying to tell me the messaging from this administration wasn't any different than "it's a hoax","inject bleach", "masks aren't for me", "it'll be gone by Easter", "It's like a miracle - it will just go away" etc...???

And since you pretend like you didn't notice, Biden passed the American Rescue Plan that quickly made it possible for every American to get the jab immediately at tens of thousands of places across the country for free. The plan did many other things as well, like super charge the economy....but sure - he did the same thing as Trump - gimme a f'in break

How are the vaccine mandates working out? Is it a miracle that they are going away? Super charge the economy??? Get your head out of your rear.

Also, make sure you keep wearing your mask, especially when driving alone in your car. Yes, masks aren't for me and shouldn't be for anyone except for reasons prior to Covid.

Most people can't help but ignore reality and twist things to fit your biased political narrative. Oil production peaked in the U.S. in November 2019 at 13.0 million barrels per day. This was prior to covid. Production began declining prior to any of the price declines or covid shut downs. This can very easily be verified by EIA 914 data.

The U.S. oil industry was making about zero in profits at that point and in the years running up to it. The shale industry had basically never turned a profit. They destroyed hundreds of billions of dollars of capital while growing from 2005 to 2020. There have been specific companies that have made a profit (mostly those that flipped land) and management teams made money, but the capital behind it didn't overall. Public and private equity and all the various types of debt providers basically all lost money for over a decade. They had pulled back away from the industry prior to covid and began demanding a return on their capital as opposed to the growth at all costs model that had been in effect for a decade plus. Companies began to shift to a focus on cash flow instead of production growth.

Then covid hit. Prices plummeted as demand cratered. Production declined due to normal supply and demand forces. Production hit a near term low of 9.7 million barrels per day in May 2020. Due to action taken by OPEC and due to demand recovery, prices recovered. Production that was shut in due to low prices came back on. Capex in the industry recovered as well so new production growth began to more than offset natural declines causing overall production to start growing again. By January 2021, U.S. production hit 11.0 million barrels per day.

Joe Biden takes office and says a bunch of things for political purposes, so morons think he has shut down the oil and gas industry. In reality, production has continued to grow. It currently is about 11.7 million barrels per day and rising. Due to financial discipline from the fact that capital providers demand an actual profitable return now, growth is more measured. Capital is harder to raise and more expensive. Debt providers demand lower leverage profiles. Equity providers demand dividends or other types of returns. Many companies have lower priced hedges in place that aren't allowing them to fully take advantage of current higher prices.

But if you listen to your average moron on this board, under Trump, we were energy independent and the industry was healthy while under Biden, the industry is suffering and we can't grow production. In reality, it is the exact opposite. Far healthier now and growing while it was generating no profits under Trump with production starting to decline. Neither Biden nor Trump deserve any credit or blame for any of it. It basically was a function of throwing a bunch of cheap capital at the industry for a decade and the industry spending it without any discipline until the capital providers realized they weren't making any money and industry behavior changed.

I talked to several oil distributors today, and it's bad news all the way around... this market is now being hit with another supply shortage, causing shops like mine to shut down on days when I run out of inventory. Which means no source of revenue to cover business and personal expenses that do not simply stop just because I have to close.

Not only that, the price for refined motor oil is about to spike 20-25% per gallon in the coming weeks. For reference, an average price increase of 1-2% annually has been standard since I've been in this industry (2003). In January 2021, around a week after the presidential inauguration, we had an immediate 70% per gallon price increase ... far more than the previous 18 years COMBINED! Now, we're about to be hit with an additional 20-25% per gallon price increase.

On top of the supply shortage.

I was told by one distributor that they've had multiple clients tell them that they will be forced to shut down their businesses as they can't weather the supply shortage or the outrageous price increases.

A few years ago, I decided that I'd had enough of politics, news media, pointless debate, ignorant people, and just stupidity in general. So, at that point, I chose to simply focus on my bubble of reality - what closely affected me and what I could control in my day-to-day life. I scrolled past polarizing topics and articles on social media, held back from posting my opinions and arguments on sensitive issues, and would not engage in any conversations about such things when solicited. I completely turned off the television, aside from a few series that I still follow, and stopped reading newspapers. All was right in my world. It was glorious.

As long as the nonsense going on outside of my bubble STAYED outside of my bubble, then I really couldn't care less. I've gotta tell ya, I've never felt better in my entire life than I have the last few years. Whereas, before I was easily agitated and ready to tell someone just exactly how stupid that they were, now I sleep easy, not even knowing nor caring that these people exist. Getting rid of all the negativity was a game-changer.

Well, now we've got a problem... all of the imbeciles out in the world are beginning to shit on my bubble. I don't know why my security and way of life are being threatened, nor do I care to debate the origins of the problem. The only thing that matters to me is getting this shit straightened out with the quickness, or else I'm gonna have to come out of my bubble full-on swingin to get things back on track - something that I really don't want to have to do. Write, call, email politicians, bitch on social media loudly and long enough that the ship gets righted, protest, boycott, whatever. I don't care what it takes, just get it done so that I can go back to enjoying my little world without having to deal with the pointless aspects of the rat race that most everyone obsesses over.

Thanks in advance.

No. If Bill where on Rikers, Hillary would have had him killed by now.

This is a great post. Unfortunately here, it will fall on deaf ears. They are much more interested in blaming everything on Biden than accepting reality.

And just watch. Right now they are insisting that inflation and gas prices are all 100% Biden's fault. When both of those numbers start to move in a positive direction, they will be right back here claiming that the good news has nothing to do with Biden.

It is interesting to see just how much people here are being misled by the "independent truth telling" media they consume.

People on here believe Pelosi and Schumer have raised their taxes (despite the fact that the last changes to our tax code were passed by Trump and the Republicans).
People on here believe that Biden defunded the police (even as a candidate, Biden's plans called for additional funding for police).
People on here believe that there is a "mountain" of evidence that the election was stolen (despite there being none presented in the courts).

You are not near smart enough to talk shit about Trump who is a certified genius. Just the facts bro.
A certified genius??? The 6 major bankruptcies under his belt certainly shoot holes in that argument. At least as far as the "The Art of the Deal" go.

There’s also other factors wrt why the oil world is crazy right now. Due in part to the drop in the oil prices during the pandemic, a lot of oil and gas companies got upside down with their lenders and either filed bankruptcy or had to settle with their lenders by trading debt for equity. As a result, if the company was a private equity portfolio company, most of the private equity got wiped out because the value of the assets exceeded the amount of senior debt. So now, banks are skiddish about lending to oil and gas companies on a PV9 reserved based loan and private equity has pretty much vanished. Unless it is a public company that can issue stock to raise money, there is not much capital available to finance a drilling program, other than through cash flow. It costs a lot of money to drill a well, especially the two milers and three milers that are being drilled in the Permian Basin

Yep. I have pointed out previously here that we are still in the two-year period that Trump negotiated with Russia and OPEC to cut daily oil production back in 2020. But again, if it does not fit their narrative, they refuse to listen.

I do still predict that within 12 to 16 months, US daily crude production will eclipse our highest numbers during the Trump admin. At that point, I cannot wait to hear how it is spun by "independent" media sources. I am certain they will find a way to give Lord Trump all of the credit.

Foreign agent friends? You need to stop reading Tom Clancy books.. What I said was that the EU data is cleaner than the US data, it's not manipulated and they do a better job with central data collection vs thousands of data sources. Makes it easier to do statistical analysis before someone like the CDC or Johns Hopkins scrubs the data.

If you can say that Covid related death's are Trump's fault then I don't know how you can't also say they are Biden's. A reasonable person might actually look around the globe and realize there wasn't a right answer and we would have landed here regardless of policies, mandates, etc. Covid was always going to spread as evidenced by countries with much harsher restrictions.

Also, the overall number of deaths related to Covid is going to reduce here in the US, as evidenced by Mass. changing parameters which backs out more than 4,000 deaths. https://www.mass.gov/news/department-of-public-health-updates-covid-19-death-definition How many more states or maybe even countries are going to follow?

Some data now points to the vaccines accelerating the spread of omicron but you won't consider that analysis as it blows out the hill you keep trying to die on. Why do you reckon the CDC held back data that made the vaccines look less viable?

If you can sit here in confidence and say one President has been better than the other in Covid response, then you're simply overtly biased and incapable of inference.

Last thing I'll say is there is a reason the blue states all shifted policy right around the state of the union and why you aren't seeing Fauci on TV anymore......Covid policy is a vote killer, Joe and dems know this.

I'll have to give it to you, you've got your gaslighting techniques down pat. Repeating the same falsehoods over and over do not make them true. Bringing in a bunch of unrelated talking points to sow confusion is just a distraction technique.

I don't care who's data you use, the overwhelming consensus is that the majority of deaths are among the unvaccinated. If you don't believe the data, you should at least listen to all the medical professionals on the ground who tell us the same thing, including the doctors on the West Zone who say that almost all serious cases and deaths they see are among the unvaccinated.

To repeatedly claim that Biden did nothing different than Trump is patently false. The man literally walked the vaccine to everyone's front door and made it free. He amplified the messaging around the safety protocols and practically begged people to get vaccinated every chance he got. You even complain about him going too far to get everyone vaccinated .......but because they CHOSE not to, the deaths are his fault!?!?

The rest of your post is just noise.

You don’t think it has anything to do with the fact that cases and infection rates have dropped significantly? Fauci and Biden’s pandemic response team came out publicly BEFORE the SOTU to say we have moved into the endemic phase. I would also mention that a certain war has been dominating the news recently.

But hey, if your quants in your Jersey boiler room are telling you it is a conspiracy theory, so be it.

Just because Trump says he's a billionaire or a genius, for that matter, it doesn't necessarily mean it's true. And if he's so supposedly rich then why is he begging his disciples to pool their meager earnings and buy him a new plane??? After all, a new crop duster can't be that expensive.

The vaccine was always free, it was always available and the only difference was that it was more of a personal choice than a mandate or a way to prevent Americans from being able to participate in society.......you'll note that major corporations are now reversing and letting the non-vaccinated come back to work? You can view the world however you want and I honestly could care less how you choose to see it but those are the facts Francis.

There are plenty of very qualified doctors and scientists who have given a different opinion and narrative, the only challenge is that you're so incredibly f*cking brainwashed you can't reason with anything other than liberal narrative.

THINGS THAT ARE NOT THE SAME

Trump
- inject bleach
Biden - inject vaccine

Trump - mocks people who wear masks
Biden - implores people to wear a mask

Trump - has army dump the vaccines off to the states with no direction or distribution plan - people frantically trying to find it
Biden - American Rescue Plan that creates a thorough and comprehensive distribution plan that hits tens of thousands of locations in very short order - people can find it anywhere and everywhere

Trump - tells Bob Woodward behind closed doors that COVID is "more deadly than even your strenuous flu," tells the public it will go away in April and he has it under control
Biden - tells the public the truth

DPIC73 - speaks the truth
jakefest - red-pilled

Good point. A MAGAfat who also didn't get vaccinated is what I call double jeopardy.

That is not at all accurate. That's not what Trump tried to blame on Obama, and it does not even make sense. The thing that Trump tried to blame on Obama never existed.

It’s not clear what regulation Trump and Redfield have in mind, and neither the White House, FDA, nor the CDC responded to requests for more information. But experts told us that no such “rule” was implemented under Obama.

“It’s not true,” said Rachel Sachs, a Washington University in St. Louis law professor, of Trump’s claim in a phone interview. The Obama administration did attempt to impose a risk-based system of regulation on laboratory developed tests, or LDTs, and introduced draft guidance in 2014. But that guidance was never finalized, and was withdrawn after Trump won the election in 2016. “It never went into effect,” she said, “so it’s not an issue to walk back.”

Citing fact check. Org to prove a lefty point is like citing the Bible to prove the Bible is true.

The Bible is 100% true, it says so right there in Psalm 119.
