So, next season our offense will be improved and our defense likely takes a step back. How many times have we said that only to have a Dominant D the following year?

Offense loses that will hurt include only Putnam and Shipley. Sewell and Sadler got a lot of experience and we'll get Parks back. OL could actually be a strength. The WR room will only get better and there are some young guys to like a lot. Cade might not feel the need to do everything like he did this year.

Defense loses the entire front line. Woods, Page and Parker will start. Capehart will be first off the bench and maybe Denhoff is the other DE. Is Lawson a good situational pass rusher? We lose 2 of the top 3 LBs and while I have a lot of confidence in the Woodaz, he's a lot better playing with Carter and Trotter. Guys will emerge at LB but there will be a learning curve. Brown will be a star but asking a true freshman to play meaningful snaps from the beginning at LB??? The returning secondary is the obvious bright spot even though we're losing a 1st rounder.

The good news is that after a final exam to start the season, the schedule looks to be VERY manageable. I see a rematch with the dawgs in the post season.
